Am Iwell?
I have my bi-monthly consultant review next week, which always starts with the question, well how are you? My usual reaction, is that perhaps you should tell me! I have just got the results (After 1 hour) of my latest blood test but I'm not sure which questions to ask. I started treatment with 6xRituximab

Low B12 levels link to RLS
https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0303846722003584 A recent study from China links low B12 to RLS and depression Only 80 people in the trial though so it does need more research Many people with pernicious
anaemia
(caused by low B12) have RLS.

Possible Uveitis
My main problems are fatigue and brain fog, joint pain, generalised aches and pains, raynauds, mouth ulcers, and recurring
anaemia
. I have always had dry eyes. About a week ago I suddenly noticed a large floater in one of my eyes. I also noticed flashing.

Folate deficiency
Please can you give me some advice as to what supplement should be take for a folate deficiency. Is it folic acid tablets or folate tablets? I am somewhat confused. Also what is the optimal folate level for a person with Hashimotos? Thanks in advance

-which I think is good news considering what it could be. Question - does AG cause PA. Or does PA cause AG ? - does anyone have this type and if yes how is it for you coupled with PA ? regards

IFAB testing guidelines per Mayo clinic laboratory website
I found this IFAB test guideline. I found a few things pretty interesting. This particular lab which is the lab that did my IFAB test says that you should be fasting for 8 hours before you take this test and you should not have had any B12 injections within 2 weeks prior to the test. Another interesting

Cold Agglutinin Disease/Auto-Immune Haemolytic Anaemia coupled with Triple Positive APS
Hello everyone, I wonder if anyone else has been diagnosed wth Triple Positve APS along with Cold Agglutinin Disease (COAG). My haematologist says they are unrelated but I wonder. I have recently had rituxamab intravenous treatment for COAG since it may be that it is beng triggered by low B Cell lymphoma

What happens next?
I have recently been told by my GP on a telephone consultation that I have ET. No explanation of what it is other then ‘It’s a platelet thing and just making you aware as it might raise its head in the future when you have routine blood tests done. ‘ the GP spoke to Haematology who said they are not

4th time lucky: an interesting appointment
This might not make a lot of sense to anyone who didn't see my last post about angular cheilitis, but if you are interested, have a look (photo attached). After three cancellations, I finally got to see my Oral medicine consultant. At first, I saw a junior that I'd never met before - and felt that

PCV 20 Guidelines ? Get 20 if you already had 13 and 23 - or not ?
One pharmacist in Florida refused to give PCV 20 "because guidelines say that if you had other previous pneumo vaccinations you do not need PCV 20 !" I got PCV 13 in 2015 and PCV 23 in 2005. My understanding of the literature is that PCV20 is now "updated" and everybody should get it who may get it

High Bilirubin, Not Gilbert's
In August 2021, aged 36, I started panicking about this and went through a series of LFTs and CBCs, all of which showed everything fine (apart from occasional, mild
anaemia
) and high bilirubin. The bilirubin level has wobbled between 17-47 umol/L (I think that's 0.99-2.75mg/dL on the US scale).

Positive GP experience!
I had my first meeting with my GP following private consultation and initiation of B12 SI treatment 8 weeks ago. He accepted what was said in the letter the private consultant wrote, and agreed to follow up ferritin and folate blood tests. I advised I would have a follow up consult and I would forward
