Good news then bad
I had a meeting with my cardiologist yesterday snd he told me he was delighted with my recovery from double cabg surgery. He answered all my questions and reassured me about all the concerns/ worries I have. I came out feeling on cloud 9, and for the first time in 3 years of heart concerns, I felt there

My experience with Ropinirole
Hi All I wanted to let people know of my experience with RLS, what I thought was augmentation, changing medications and seeing a Consultant. So it all started when the 0.5mg Ropinirole I was on did not have the same effect. Doing my own research I considered that augmentation was happening. When

GTN Travel
hi folks Just a quick question. Will my GTN spray get passed airport security as travelling to Thailand to visit my daughter? I’ve not needed it since my stent implant but it’s a reassuring comfort to have in my pocket. TIA Andy

Gall stones
Hi everyone,Do any of you suffer with recurring gall stones? I have fibro & IBS as well. I had my gall bladder removed 9 yrs ago and since then have had two ERCP procedures to remove gall stones from my bile duct. The last ERCP was in April last year. I have started with symptoms again. Nausea, pain

Anovulatory medicated FET success rates
Hello ivf warriors, I am having doubts before our FET. I am currently not ovulating (still breastfeeding my ivf double rainbow). Clinic is happy to induce ovulation by medication for the purposes of the transfer. I am having doubts whether there could be less chance of success given my body has not returned

Pain control with PLMD
I take 100 mg Lyrica for PLMD, the lowest possible dosage as I never have been able to shake the daytime sedation. Now I have some kind of pinched nerve that has been causing chronic pain. Tylenol is not sufficient (I am going to try a lidocaine patch today for the first time and hope that will help

3 weeks ago today
Hey Everyone 3 weeks ago today, I felt a bit off, had what I thought was ingestion, and was a bit breathless I used my GTN spray and took some gaviscon, and used my inhaler, nothing worked but I still dismissed it I decided to go onto the NHS website and they said a nurse would call me back. If it

Dad admitted to ICU with Sepsis on 31/12/22
my dad was admitted to the ICU on New Year’s Eve, he’s had pneumonia, strep a and sepsis, he’s currently got the Trachi and is on the kidney filter machine. The doctors are saying that they need to sedate him 100% now so he can get the rest he needs as everything is failing on him. They’ve talked about

Magnesium salts and RLS: malate, glycinate or citrate
Just following up on a recent post recommending magnesium malate for RLS, quoting recommendations made by Californian company Pure Biogenics in promoting their RLS supplement Seratame. Looking into this, experiments on rats suggested that malate may be the most bio-available form of magnesium; there

Unstable angina
I was diagnosed in 2016 and had 2 stents. Was originally told it would be 3 but one was was too small to stent. Have had attacks since then which have been managed by the usual meds and GTN spray. However, since having covid a month ago I have had more incidents than in the last year. Has anyone else

Angioplasty
I have just been told by my cardiologist that I need to have an angioplasty with stent because there is a narrowing of my LAD. I am freaking out - I’m 42 this year and have an 8 year old daughter and a wife who I love very much. I have heard CVD in the LAD is very serious - a widow maker. What

HA and Stent
Can anybody relate to this story. My sister lives in Spain and just had a surprise HA, she then had a stent fitted to deal with a blocked artery. She is feeling fine and was told she is ‘fixed’, although left with scarring. This is just two weeks ago. Is it really as simple as that? She had

Using Lactulose long term
Does anyone know if it is safe to use Lactulose long term? I have IBS-C and have tried all the other remedies such as kiwis, psyllium, prunes ,linseeds, chia seeds and I drink plenty of water but find they either don’t work or give me terrible griping pains. Although I’d prefer to take a natural product

feeling let down
Since my husbands heart attack in May last year I have been doing everything I can to help him recover and stay well. He had a very serious heart attack (widow maker), occlusion of his LAD with no viable tissue left to stent or bypass. He has been told by every health professional he’s ever met that
