Update on my Partner
He was eventually prescribed
amitriptyline
with the approval of the pharmacist at the hepatology department at our local hospital, but this is a daily tablet and his pain is more acute than chronic, and he wanted something to take as and when the pain reached an intolerable level, so he's now been prescribed

No support from GP - need to change meds
I tried Pregablin which didn't suit me and I'm now on 300mg Gapapentin, 50mg Tramadol and 10mg
Amitriptyline
nightly. I also take 2 x 30/500 Co-codamol before bedtime but this wears off quickly and I know it's not a good idea to take the co-codamol.

Amitriptyline & ADHD
Hi all, About a week ago, I started on
amitriptyline
for chronic pain, and since I about 2 days ago I've noticed my ADHD getting worse. I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this with
amitriptyline
or any kind of similar pain medication?

... and relax (hopefully)!
The
amitriptyline
was stopped as not suitable after NSTEMI. Thursday we had to go out for the day as we had a planned power outage for maintenance work (our house is all electric).

GP thinks I might have lupus
I was prescribed prednisolone at 15mg and also take naproxen, lansoprazole and
amitriptyline
. I see my gp regularly and she has been great at looking at all of my symptoms as a whole and not just individually.

AF, Warfarin, and Tramadol
My GP has prescribed
Amitriptyline
one to be taken at night but that was a helpful but unwise choice as it gave me diahorrea. Bus drivers and diahorrea are NOT the best mates !! I told dear GP that I'll stay with the CoCod.

Slow Transit pain and possible Nortriptyline success
For anyone who has slow transit and been on either
amitriptyline
or Nortriptyline, did your gastro/doctor give you any other medication to counteract this like prucalopride or linzess?

Trying to cope with chronic pain
I'm currently on Oxycodone, Gabapentin and
Amitriptyline
. I finally got an actual face to face appointment. I told him that his new medication regime was still not working, he asked me what would I like to do,. Why is a pain specialist asking me?

Finally being heard!!
The second I mentioned how horrible my pelvic and leg pains have been and that I'm having to walk around with a belted hot water bottle, he immediately prescribed me
Amitriptyline
to see if that not only helps the pain for that, but could also help with my ibs!!! What a win!!!
