Week 9 Run 1
Ok so this was the hardest run so far. There was one major reason for this: I was working until fairly late last night (outdoors) and got home absolutely famished. The weather was colder than it has been and added to my hunger to such a degree that It seemed like a good idea to order in Chinese food

Face Shields/Visors
Hi! I was just wondering if anyone else has problems wearing face shields/visors? I work in a nursery and we are now required to wear PPE when handing over children, and I'm really struggling with the visors! I can't wear masks at all ( I refuse to go anywhere where one is needed, the only exception

Week 8 Run 3
So Laura was a minute behind me today. I know this because I timed myself on my phone stopwatch. I purposely ran the extra minute at the end (uphill as usual) to prepare for next week. I woke up this morning feeling a bit wheezy from my dodgy lungs. I took an extra blast of the blue asthma inhaler to

Can I stop taking amlodipine 2.5 mg without a dr?
I've been on these meds since May 2020 and have not even been seen by a doctor yet. I am having breathing issues,I know use an inhaler daily, pain in neck and back. I had neck surgery in 2019 and had no issues until a month ago when out of nowhere I kept getting pain and tingling in my neck and back.

Side effects
I often have mucus in my throat that I find hard to cough up and it also affects me voice. Can this be a side effect of my asthma and inhaler

Salamol empty?
Hello Because I don’t use it everyday I don’t count how many puffs I’ve had of my reliever inhaler and sadly it doesn’t come with a counter. How do you know when yours is empty if there’s always powder left in with active reliever? I’ve read about the float test but not sure how reliable this is?

Unsure if this is lupus.
Tired of my daughter being invisible. She’s 17 and suffers daily and I feel so helpless as no one seems to give us any answers. From the age of 12 she’s had episodes where she passes out. She suffers daily with migraines and constant brain fog. Three years ago she was diagnosed with cold urticaria

Symptoms that go away without inhaler?
Does anyone get episodes of increased shortness of breath, or cough, or wheeze, or tight chest that subside without any treatment? Or do those symptoms get worse until you have to use the blue inhaler? Before I was started on Fostair (oh my goodness! SO much better!) last week I often found that I would

Intro to me & my inquisitive mind
Hi everyone. I’m new to this forum. I was diagnosed with Emphysema in 2014. Ironically, I’d stopped smoking 1 year prior to the diagnosis & was breathing fine, with good fitness levels. However, I swept up residue plaster from a decorating job I was working on. No mask! The air was really thick with

Unexpected 5k
Pics are my snazzy legging, and the enormous Hawk Moth caterpillar that one of my cats had brought in for me on my return from my run. It was the size of my forefinger!!! I thought it was half a grass snake at first. I rescued it and it’s back out in the garden again. Today was supposed to be my 4k

Worsening asthma, all very new to me
Hello, I am quite new to asthma, I got given a blue inhaler last year after having shortness of breath and then got prescribed a brown inhaler to take 2 puffs a day and it seemed to be managed. A few weeks ago my symptoms worsened, to ones I’d not experienced before- wheezing, cough, really tight chest

Inhalers - Seretide versus Airflusal
I have been taking Seretide Evohaler 250 for years but my GP has now moved me to Airflusal. I know Airflusal has the same ingredients but i suffer from anxiety and I'm frightened to go on to the new inhaler in case it doesn't work the same. I have been buy Seretide but it's expensive. The Accuhaler

Breathing difficulties but PF normal
Hi everyone, as I've posted before my asthma was only diagnosed a year ago and bronchiectasis just before so I'm still learning how to live with and manage both conditions but can you help me. Although my PF was normal at the beginning of this week I had a terrible tight chest with breathing difficulties

Fostair headaches
I’ve recently changed from Clenil 200 x 2 twice a day to Fostair 100 x 2 twice a day due to problems managing my asthma (found mould in our bedroom wardrobe). I’ve been taking it for 4 days now & asthma is hugely improved. However, keep getting headaches. Will the headaches lessen as I get used to the
