Raw/sore throat & Inhalers
Hi All, I've had asthma for the past 45 yeats and used
inhalers
both brown and blue for 43yrs. In the last 6yrs I've been suffering with an irritated throat with a lot of white patches and the odd red spot or thread like lines on the roof of my mouth and back of my throat.

New to the forum Peak Flow questions
I've been given
inhalers
in the past usually to do with hayfever (which I don't get now) but never diagnosed with Asthma. I saw Asthma nurse about 4 years ago before being referred on to cardio respiratory again by cardiac consultant. All normal apart from this type of heart block.

How could AI help in asthma care?
action plans and go into the A&E (ER, urgences etc.) in a severe attack but because they aren't wheezing (many asthmatics don't), have normal sats (many studies have shown this is not a good way to assess asthma control), a normalish peak flow (which is possible and especially if a patient is on steroid

Inhaler Recycling
I would therefore encourage readers to take their used
inhalers
back to their pharmacy (if they are not doing so already) as I suspect many
inhalers
are recyclable.

I have been given a diagnosis, a couple of
inhalers

Steroid Inhalers and thyroid levels
Does anyone know if steroid
inhalers
for asthma affect your thyroid levels. I am undergoing investigation for breathlessness and consultant suspects it is late onset asthma. Have been using an inhaler (Fostair) for 3 weeks which thankfully has improved symptoms.

To date, its mostly been treated with
inhalers

Anyone else have Eosinophilic Asthma with chronic rhinosinusitis?
Would be interested to hear from others, as have had this diagnosis since 2014, I take 2
inhalers
daily 2 puffs of cartridge Spriva Respimat and 1 of powder Fluticasone. I have not had any admissions since and can walk my dog easily, but my polyps in nose need an operation.

Tight chest/ache but peak flow about the same
Good morning, I am looking for advise for my 16 year old daughter please. She has had asthma since she was 2 years old. For years she was using Clenil ( Quvar 50 in lockdown) and used Ventolins. In Jan and Feb of this years she had a couple of mild asthma attacks which normally could be controlled

Is there anyone among you who has been treated for asthma without using steroid inhaler?
Hello Everyone! I have asthma and I’m using medications for 2 years now. But I’m seeing a lot of side effects and I really want to quit my streoid inhaler. Is anyone here treating their asthma without a steroid inhaler? Thank you in advance :)

Adrenal insufficiency
Has anybody who has had adrenal insufficiency caused by their steroid-based asthma inhaler managed to reverse the adrenal insufficiency AND remain on a steroid-based asthma inhaler? Or reversed the adrenal insufficiency by moving to a non-steroidal asthma management? If the latter, did you change to
