Weight gain
I’m on 25mg Methotrexate, folic acid, hydroxychloroquine and
ibuprofen
twice a day. I’ve struggled to exercise because of the pain although getting back into the gym and cycling now but I’ve put on so much weight and wondered if it was in part due to the meds? Thanks

Headaches, is this normal?
Have tried paracetamol,
ibuprofen
and codeine. I can't really take anything else due to my other meds. The headache is at the back of my head now as well. I have never had such a sore headache that has lasted so long. Its scaring me, and I haven't slept which I'm sure isn't helping.

Back on the Trails
The nurse told me it was infected so antibiotics if the swelling reached beyond the wrist,
ibuprofen
, elevate, steroid cream, anthisan and drink gin and tonics were the advise.

Ibuprofen
Hi ladies, just wanted to share some info I received from my consultant re
ibuprofen
. He is a fertility specialist both NHS and private. In essence if you are trying for a baby don’t even take one
ibuprofen
tablet. It has a highly detrimental impact on ovulation.

Ibuprofen patches?
I do on rare occasions take a couple of
ibuprofen
, I've been prescribed co-codamol but hate the side effects, as if I don't have enough side effects with the Anagrelide and ET!!

Pain after laparoscopy
I stopped taking the painkillers (started out with codeine, paracetamol and
ibuprofen
but had to upgrade the codeine to tramadol on the first day out of hospital as the rest weren’t touching the pain) 5 days after the surgery as I really don’t like taking them, but the past three or four days since I

Pain and pain management during pregnancy
Prior to pregnancy I took paracetamol/
ibuprofen
/codeine combo. Was told not to take
ibuprofen
but that paracetamol ok and codeine could be used 'sparingly' but to be avoided in third trimester if possible. Any comments gratefully received! Thank you J

But ....today I’ve crashed my toe into a wooden chair and can’t walk never mind run 😳 Ice pack,
ibuprofen
, toes strapped up, no running for several weeks. Please tell me I will get back into it.......I feel sad as I already miss my precious fledgling running habit.

Constipation & Drugs
Flare up days
ibuprofen
or solphadine. Along with other drugs Levothyroxine 50mg daily, Omeprazole 20mg twice daily & lastly Atorvastatin 20mg daily. I am now putting on weight, (eat no differently) & going to the loo is getting so uncomfortable so constipated.

Week 2 Run 3
Walked round the shop, then to Lidl, walked round there, drove home, had a banana and 2
ibuprofen
and a 45-minute rest up. Then into kit, strap on the knee supports, and off. The actual routine was ok, the knee supports got me through and I didn't feel like the reps were going to kill me.

At least not for many many years, and last time it was from
Ibuprofen
, which does the same thing to me.

Magic Plan Week 3 ✅
So I popped some
ibuprofen
, tried to keep active and the stiffness receded until I felt pretty much back to normal. Went and did my 5k at my local Parkrun yesterday, really enjoyed it, my son came with me for the first time and had a great time, all good.

Doctors & Staffers Need to Listen!
I reminded her that I can't handle
Ibuprofen
after she told me it's like a stronger version. And I reminded her that I have stomach issues. She did that dismissive "thing" with her hand and said, "It won't hurt your stomach".

Recovered from PMR
Took
Ibuprofen
and sometimes Paracetamol to ease the withdrawal (which felt like a relapse). Left me with costochondritis (sternum pain) but eventually resolved. Harder to lose the steroid weight however! Check your Vitamin D levels at same time as ESR and CRP as there was a corelation in my case.
