Why would PSA drop now?
When Jeff was in between
Docetaxel
failing and his actively starting Zytiga, his PSA dropped. Now, Jeff is in between carboplatin/cabazitaxel failing and who knows what’s next and his PSA dropped from 365 to 275. I’m baffled. Twice now in between treatments, his PSA has dropped.

Nivolumab+docetaxel trial
My MO suggested me to participate in Nivolumab/placebo +
docetaxel
trial, Phase 3. I checked the results of Phase 2, and, honestly, I was not very impressed with results. I found no big difference between effectiveness of this combo and
docetaxel
only.

ADT+docetaxel first impressions, adding darolutamide
First dose of
docetaxel
wasn't too bad. Immediately after infusion I felt fine and could even have driven myself home but took a taxi. Had some headache and tiredness a couple of days later, but that was it.

Starting Xofigo RA 223
My question is - have any of you tried Xofigo after
Docetaxel
and did you have any luck with it. I am feeling the best I have felt in a year after the chemo. We sure always appreciate all of your input. Thanks - Tom

Pluvicto plus Xtandi
I’ve run the gambit of Bicalutamide,
Docetaxel
, Abiraterone, Cabazitaxel, still taking Lupron and Zometa. At the beginning of June I started Enzalutamide (Xtandi) 4x40 mg. After about a month I started having issues with fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea and dizziness.

VERU-111 (sabizabulin)
Taxanes (like
docetaxel
and cabazitaxel) stabilize the tubulin so the cancer cell cannot undergo fission into two cells. Cells that are trying to actively replicate die. Sabizabulin disrupts the tubulin so that the cell cannot use it to form a stable cell.

Chemotherapy and Gout
After 8 doses of
Docetaxel
& 3 of Carboplatin, my partner has had two painful bouts of gout. He watches his diet carefully (pretty much has eliminated red meat & alcohol). is there a connection with chemo & gout? Despite asking his PP and MO, neither mentioned any.

Should Early Use of Chemotherapy Be Avoided in the Treatment of Metastatic Prostate Cancer?
"According to the evidences so far, including this study,
docetaxel
should be recommended as second-line treatment for metastatic CRPC patients who received first-line ARPI. However,
docetaxel
is selected as second-line treatment only for limited patients in real-world clinical practice.

ADT + Abi + Docetaxel for metastatic prostate cancer?
Would be grateful to hear people's thoughts on the triple-therapy (ADT+Abi+
Docetaxel
) in his situation. Thoughts? (https://ascopost.com/news/september-2021/peace-1-and-stampede-trials-abiraterone-acetate-plus-prednisolone-in-prostate-cancer/)

My Jevtana/Carboplatin results to date. Part Two.
It’s because of you that I was started on this combo after 7 previous chemo infusions (3
Docetaxel
, 4 Jevtana) with poor results.

At what point - stereotactic treatment versus chemo
He is uncertain where to go straight to
docetaxel
or zapping the 4 most active spots (and maybe more). He will be getting a consult to help him decide. My question - what is the typical cut off for making this choice?

Chemo
My husband has had 6 rounds of
Docetaxel
, 3 rounds of jentava and now two rounds of Jentava along with Carboplatin. None have even touched the psa and some progression on the scans. This is taking a huge toll. He has been on Zytiga, Lynparza, Keytruda now the chemo. Just asking opinions.

PSA rising a concern? Mets to bones, livers, lungs and lymph nodes
He started Firmagon and then on Zoladex and then 6 cycles of
docetaxel
which finished at the end of November. His mets in general have reduced significantly in both the liver and lungs. His PSA was <0.02 in November, taken on the same day as his last cycle of

Next Move
Guidelines point to
docetaxel
or Jevtana, but still stuck on those neuropathy side effects. I feel that if I see increased neuropathy from the chemo it will be the end of my mobility, as I have gone from cane to rollator since the cancer was diagnosed.
