MABs - Encouraging, but not really
Couple things…. 1. Has anyone taking Calquence received a MAB infusion? Waiting to hear from my Dr to confirm it’s safe and doesn’t cause any drug interactions. Seems unlikely, but I want to be certain. 2. Applied for a MAB infusion via the Stanford Health process and explained that, although I didn

Anyone have experience with Molnupiravir?
I was diagnosed with CLL in 2013. Commenced Acalabrutinib in a clinical trial August 2020. Progress going reasonably well. I am triple vaccinated against covid19. Immunity if any is questionable? Molnupiravir, an antiviral medication was recently added to our PBS for access by high risk (blood cancer

Another useful article showing minimal adverse effect dosing with T3 in addition to T4
This downloadable paper has studied the effects of T3 administration on women with some residual thyroid working. T3 in combination gave better health signs when T4 only was given in therapy. T3 only therapy is still a step medicine won't yet tread, but at least combination therapy is now seriously

Should Early Use of Chemotherapy Be Avoided in the Treatment of Metastatic Prostate Cancer?
Interesting editorial in JMA [Japan Medical Association] Journal: "The therapeutic strategy for advanced prostate cancer has dramatically changed recently. Previously, docetaxel was the only drug with evidences showing improved overall survival (OS) in metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer

Clinical Trials - how often do they allow crossovers?
Clinical Trial Crossovers. Do you know if in blind trials, if the people getting the new drug get better results how often do they then allow the people that were getting the placebo to start getting the new drug? Thanks.

Dealing with the holidays: Part 1
Tis the season where words like “thankful”, “grateful”, “blessed”, and “gratitude” seem to find their way into virtually every conversation. If these words hold some joy and/or positive associations for you, that’s amazing. However, for many people, these words are (in essence) weaponized. Those who

Yes, Vitamin D again - but not specifically PCa.
Someone raised the question - is vitamin D supplementation ever a good idea? TA: "JoAnn Mason (sic), probably the foremost expert on this ..." I thought I'd look at what JoAnn Manson, as a member of the VITAL study team, had to report. [1] "Vitamin D supplementation for five years, with or without omega

first dose Lu 177, Within 24 hours from now. Butterflies are flying.
Is there anything within my control that I can do to prep for this treatment. Its funny I am a self proclaimed Veteran of the cancer wars, although this very promising , seemingly last option I am the most nervous about. I have been subjected to a radical prostectomy, and enough radiation too make me

Stuck in the Darkness
This is a really bad fall. It’s been over a week of just wanting to be dead. I mean I normally want to die . But this is different . I won’t say I have a plan cause I’m a coward. But man… I just feel like there is no point. I had a friend on here who showed me this “life coach” guy. I thought maybe it

Quetiapine withdrawal
I'm really struggling with anxiety. I was prescribed quetiapine, but it didn't help and I'm now weaning myself off it. I'm finding it extremely hard. I'm also on diazepam my psychiatrist had advised me to increase my dose of this to help with the withdrawal. Does anyone else have experience of this?

I'm currently in Lamictal for a mood syabilizer to control my rage. Been in it for about 20 years or so. Dont know if it is helping anymore. Im now back on abilify but I don't think it's helping. My moods are out of control and I can't feel emotions on a steady level. If I'm happy, I'm way too up and
