Weakness, Vulnerability, Instability, and Fear
Before I was diagnosed, I was quite healthy. I worked out 5-6 days per week, didn't smoke, drink much, or eat meat ( I did eat seafood, so I wasn't a vegetarian). I did have a periodic , long-term struggle with depression, but I was kind of used to coping with it. Since my diagnosis, about 4 years

A CT
calcium
scan is planned. GT spray normally works but did not during my last episode - last week. i feel that I cannot keep ending up in the emergency department with no further progress. Anyone been in a similar situation?

Corrected serum
calcium
level , at this time , was 2.27 mmol/L (2.20-2.60) Doctor checked them because I had a shattered tooth root which had totally gobsmacked my dentist. Really not tech savvy at all. I would value your opinion, re. the above.

Update
Due to slightly raised ferritin I've now got an iron panel test booked, more liver profile tests and at my urging due to my low
calcium
result, she added Vitamin D. So that's good and saves me paying to test privately.

Besides the usual Vitamin D3, I’m taking BoneUp, which contains
calcium
, magnesium, zinc, copper, manganese, potassium, vitamin K2 and Boron. I’ve also added Melatonin. I visited an OsteoStrong gym but can’t afford the $179/month fee.

Optimizing Bone Health in Prostate Cancer
My blood Vit D had recently tested at severely low, though blood
calcium
normal. I have started Ca and D supplements...obviously D should have been started much earlier, but I have learned that measuring D is not, for some reason, standard of care for preventive health measures??

Looking for Ozzie Bob
I remember he found he had to keep
Calcium
lowish and I think Vitamin D3 turned out to be important for him but I lost the link. I tried searching for Ozzie Bob but got no hits. Can anyone help me find the link that I know Ozzie Bob posted? brlund or Baz

age and PMR
I’m also taking D3 to help
calcium
take up and B12 as I’m a veggie. I was advised to stop drinking alcohol and cut out meat to help with PMR symptoms so … I stopped eating meat! I’m not completely crazy!🤣

Advice on latest bloods
saturation - 26% UIBC - 44.4 (24.2-70.1) TIBC - 60 (41-77) Active B12 - 84 (37.5-150) Folate - 20.5 (8.83-45) Up until recently my iron results have been odd as per previous posts due to high transferrin saturation but this seems to have finally normalised and I suspect it’s somehow connected to low

Week 5 completed…and all is right with the World.
I have a recurring nightmare that I will end my days as a skin sack supported by piles of degraded
calcium
…like an old teacher's school bag full of chalk.

I have been on a
calcium
channel blocker for about three years after taking bisop and flec for some twelve years, no issues. I am currently undergoing chemo for breast cancer, about to throw the towel in after three cycles, just too horrific.

One year and 3 day anniversary
The other thing I played around with is dropping my
calcium
intake. I don't have the link to the other long term AFer who took this approach, but I don't drink milk anymore as I would drink at least 3-4 cups a day. So here is hoping for many more years of being AF free.
