Pins and needles feeling
I would have to have a drip of
calcium
and another blood test ASAP. I was on a monitor and the first drip (I thought only drip) was started and finished about 20 mins later. I thought that was nice and quick how long before my pins and needles stop?

MRI-guided transperineal biopsy hurt so much
I'm curious if folks have recommendations about how to reduce what was an unbearable pain from the biopsy. I almost passed out and the thought of my next biopsy gives me cold sweats. What hurt was the process of the anesthetic injections. Each one at a deeper layer. It's clear that the anesthetic did

Others don’t understand
I know we’re all usually talking about our meds, but I’m wondering how everybody is faring when trying to explain to others what we go through. I’ve had my adult children question why I take oxycodone. Some seem to understand, some are very judgmental. RLS can start at 10:30 am, and is why I’m spreading

Anyone clued up on bone health please?
Had a
calcium
and vit d test at the surgery (the latter being fine) and the following
calcium
tests which mean absolutely nothing to me at all so hoping someone with more knowledge can advise as we all know GP's say vitamin levels are fine as long as they are in range.

Timing of calcium supplements
I know that it is a no-no to take Adcal, Accrete etc within 2 hours of pred because the resultant 'soup' impedes the pred from being absorbed. But is this the case with gastric-coated pred? I notice that on the PIL it says it should be taken within 1 1/2 hours of a meal. Gets tricky when you have to

Update 7.3 Good news this time
Will also be doing a Stress test, Echocardiogram, and CT
Calcium
Cardiology scan. Interesting to have a new symptom when the tachycardia incidents have really slowed down. We will doubtless get it all sorted. I am actually more curious than worried about it.

repeat fractures
I had blood work done and my
calcium
level is normal but my vitamin D is very low which means I have malabsorption. Does anyone else have malabsorption and fractures? I’m just trying to figure out where to go from here. I need to exercise but I’m afraid to because of my fractures.

I am taking
calcium
and d3 to limit bone loss.. I am controlling my IPF with a experimental drug called OFEV. I have been an experiment with medical pulmonary research which I am responding to well.. But losing muscle mass will weaken my ability to cough up flem.. Tough spot here..

Sensitivity to light, dry eyes and calcium deposits
I also have
calcium
deposits on both eyes which should be removed but he seems reluctant to go ahead with this. I am not due to see him again until January, just wondering how I can help myself before then, I'm at my wits' end. Anyone got any ideas?

New to OP, Hormone for building bones
I have taken the recommended supplements, 1200 mg
calcium
and D3 along with the recommended diet for 20 years. It appears to be a fail. I have a family history of osteoporosis so have been very proactive to prevent it.

Bone problems?
Had radiotherapy 16 years ago for anal cancer, am taking
calcium
and vitamin D as concerned about future hip arthritis, bone breakages. Am 66. Anyone else had experience of thinning bone density? Would like to prevent this. Many thanks.

Shellfish Allergies and Plant Based Calcium
Has anyone with seafood/shellfish allergies successfully found a plant-based
calcium
supplement made from algae that you can safely take? And, if so, could you please share the supplement brand. I'm in the US. Thank you.

Calcium needed or not…?
If do strenuous dead weight lifting the adde stress to the bones results in increased
calcium
being deposited, less exercise, the reverse. The amount of
calcium
that’s in the blood is an indicator.

What’s the correct way to take and should you take
calcium
with it. I’m thinking of trying it again but am worried. I’ve read it’s good for anxiety and tachycardia.
