Need help with new results
I took a test with Thriva and am I'm a bit puzzled because my thyroid values and ferritin hardly budged despite being medicated and working on the nutrients. As of February 2nd, I take 50mcg levo, 5-10mg liquid iron (spatone, 4 hour interval between levo and supplments), 30-40,000iU vit D weekly, eat

Feeling tired again?
Hi, everyone — I’m wondering if you all might have some insight here. I started B12 injections and iron supplementation last August. Since then, lots of my symptoms have improved: I no longer suffer from specific neuropathies (it used to feel like a wasp was stinging my toe!), I don’t have the daily

When to test?
I has a blood test form for my daughter to test her Mma, homocysteine, FBC and auto abs. I was told to do this is if she deteriorated before her next appointment. She has. If my daughter finished her loading injections on 22nd January and she hasn't had supplementation since is it too soon to get this

Am I overmedicating with iron? Need help.
Hi, I am worried I am overmedicating with my iron supplements. I had a blood test done and it came back with high levels of transferrin saturation: Serum iron-30.6 (11-36) Ferritin-61 (14-148) Serum TIBC-53.3 (53-85) Transferrin saturation -57.4 (20-40) I am wondering if I should stop my supplementing

Doctor not reinstating b12 injections
So been to doctors today to discuss my recent blood test and intrinsic factor antibody (came back negative)she’s happy with my b12 level of 532 so is not willing to reinstate my injections, she just told me to continue with my oral b12 supplement and have a blood test in a months time. Said to monitor

Has anyone with PA/B12 deficiency had this scenario: B12 low Iron Normal UIBC LOW If so, what ended up being the solution/treatment? NOTE: https://www.msdmanuals.com/-/media/Manual/LabTests/IronTests.html Expand the "What does the test result mean" question and you will see details of what the results

Iron Deficiency and B12
Here is an interesting article that states the B12 and folate levels were low and then corrected with iron supplementation but seemly w/o B12 supplementation in Iron Deficient Anemics. Note: this will be different of course for people with PA/B12 deficiency w/o low Iron.

Endoscopy and colonoscopy done...
When I was admitted to the hospital for multiple blood clots this December, my hemoglobin was very low. They later diagnosed me with lupus. But still, the specialists thought that I must be losing blood somewhere for the severe anemia. I had an endoscopy last week and colonoscopy today and both came

Curiosity
Evening all I have a b12 deficiency and I self inject twice a week. I have not been feeling great of late so I decided to get a full blood work done and thankfully most of my results came back great. The two that didn't I wouldn't have thought have any connection to B12 deficiency but you never know

hi I had low active b12, enlarged red blood cells and loads of symptoms. started the shots about six months ago. lots of symptoms left. but at the time I didn't check homocysteine or MMA or anything else to then have actual proof that I did have a deficiency. as now some people refuse to believe me as

High monocyte?
Since there are some knowledgeable people on this forum I'm curious if anyone knows what high monocyte count means? It was on my daughters blood test. She's 8 years old and just had some b12 loading injections in January. I did ask her gp what it meant/cause but she wasn't concerned because other factors

AIHA - what to expect ?
I have CLL but not under going treatment. After a week of feeling tired and breathless at the slightest action, I went downhill and sent to hospital. After my haemoglobin went down to 33, the doctor eventually worked out the AIHA condition and sent me home from hospital with Predisolone (+ folic acid
