Anyone else in the same boat?!
Hi! A quick review! Diagnosed with fast AFib four years ago and HCM a year later. On too many meds to mention! Last October had my first ablation-which the hospital said was successful. Unfortunately, that triggered another arrhythmia called atrial tachycardia. Back in for another- and the last one

Would you like to know more about your antiarrhythmic medication?
Upon diagnosis of Atrial fibrillation (AF) many are prescribed antiarrhythmic medication(s). These help to restore the normal (sinus) heart rhythm. They work by blocking specific electrical conduction channels in the heart. Some can slow the activation of the heart muscle, and others slow the recovery

some days I feel Numb , some days I’m completely overwhelmed and days like yesterday and today I feel very flat and low . All I want to do is curl up in a hall in bed and cry. I wish someone - especially loved ones- could see and hear that I’m struggling. My partner - he is younger than me.

Can we live "normally" with a mental illness? Take care of ourselves and a place? Do a job? Have a relationship? And a family?
I know some of you do it but as a gen Z with several traumas that seems impossible to me. I feel like mom triggers me but she's the best i have. My accommodation is a mess, the sink is clogged, there are spiders, i should do laundry, buy cleaning and washing chems(sorry forgot the word in English), should

Heart failure not stroke is the most common complication of atrial fibrillation -- BMJ Journal

chemo and genetic testing questions
My husband’s genetic testing of the biopsies came back. It’s 19 pages and I am having a super difficult time interpreting. His Oncologist Urologist is overwhelmed with duties and we probably won’t get reviewed at the level we need. attaching the executive summary. They said he tests positive for SPOP

AFib for past 4 days
Just wondering if anyone out there has experienced being in AFib for longer than a day? And does it revert back? Usually I return to sinus rhythm If I’m only in AF for a few hours or a day but this time it’s been 4 days. Fortunately I don’t have any symptoms like I usually have apart from not being

Is the rhythm of your heart regular?
A simple pulse check only takes 30 seconds! Atrial fibrillation, also known as AF or AFib is a quivering or irregular heart rhythm (arrhythmia) that can lead to an AF-related stroke or heart failure if left untreated. If you have AF, your heart beats in an irregular rhythm causing the blood to not

Lines not progressing- any success stories 🙏
I had spotting on days 6 and 8 post 5dt at the same time as a vomiting stomach bug 😢. The spotting stopped on day 8 in the afternoon and when I tested to confirm I was out, it surprised me with a BFP! But, then since then the line has not got darker. This happened to me last cycle and the pregnancy

I am afraid to cry in presence of complete strangers but it's happening. I am seeking all the help i can get, I haven't tried to call

Cryo ablation 6 days ago..am I back in AF?
I've been for an ECG this afternoon the results of which are being passed to the arrhythmia nurse team at the JR in Oxford, where I had a cryo ablation last Friday. AF symptoms of breathlessness and feeling faint and then some for a couple of days and now a bit more settled but irregular and fast pulse

5 Days Post Ablation and getting an ECG
After three days of being extremely breathless and light headed following a cryo ablation at the JR last Friday I'm now feeling more settled, my pulse still fast and irregular but not as extreme. I had a call from an arrhythmia nurse (at last) at the JR who was very helpful. The next step is an ECG

No one died from A F
I posted earlier today . I am not now being negative , I am trying to be pragmatic . On this brilliant forum we are constantly told “ no one dies of AF “. I was wondering what actually brought on the first bout of A F to people here. Mine came on years after Mitral Valve repair . 2 long ablations

PSA fluctuations on docetaxel?
Hello all, is it normal for the PSA to increase and decrease while on docetaxel? Dad’s enrolled in a clinical trial and is receiving chemotherapy (docetaxel). His PSA was declining but suddenly increased to 1.26 two cycles/doses ago, and to 1.39 last cycle/dose. Wondering if this is indicating his cancer

What is a cardioversion?
If you have AF you may have been offered a cardioversion, but may be unsure of what to expect? A

Lopressor dose titration
Permanent afib 100mgm of Lopressor am & 50 pm plus eliquis. Decided to cut back to 50 in am because of blurred vision and now have had upset stomach times 1 week plus HR back up to low 100's. Thought I felt better on lower dose but maybe not??
