Advice or anyone suffering with the same......
I have
arthritis
& fibromyalgia, apart from the constant
pain
etc I've started getting a sharp pain on top of left foot, I put foot down (not necessarily from sitting to standing) but I will get a sharp, sudden pain on top of foot where I nearly fall & have fallen once due to how intense the pain is.

Back pain
of Pred and all the stiffness magically went away so I assumed I was misdiagnosed until I recieved the summary letter from Rheumatology detailing some of my recent medical history with Fibromyagia still lprevelant as an ailment after PMR I shrugged this off as I felt relatively fine apart from neck

private vs endo centre?
hi, I’m in the fortunate position of having private healthcare through work. I had likely adenosis and long standing deep infiltrating endometriosis identified through an MRI about 9 weeks ago. Initially I said no to surgery (because I was a hit shocked on the call and didn’t know anything about it)

I had NO FIBRO PAIN while I had Covid. Significant?
Dear Community! I got Covid recently, and had NO FIBRO PAIN for 6 weeks. Similar for other viruses I had in the past. Has anyone else noticed this? Could be significant for a future treatment? I'm desperate to find something to help the chronic pain. Fibro affects every aspect of my life. Some days

Looking for guidance
Hi everyone, Sorry if this is a super long post. To give some back ground, I started having very painful periods in 2015 when I came off the contraceptive pill at 20 years old. I came off because I have a breast cancer risk on both sides of my family and I felt that taking the pill was unnecessarily

I know everyone is different but I had my op last Thursday and the consultant says it has gone well. I had a patch on overnight which was taken off the following morning when I went for a check up. My eye felt sore and achy but really not bad enough to take painkillers. My vision is a little blurry

Medications causing mouth ulcers?
Hi there, I’m on 9 different medications: Dapagliflozin, Bisopropolol, Aspirin, Clopidogrel, spironolactone, warfarin, atorvostatin, lanzrapole and ramipril and I’ve been taking them since late April following a HA. I’ve felt generally well apart from fatigue but in the last 6-8 weeks have developed

Experience pain due to endometriosis?
Pain during menstruation is a typical symptom of endometriosis. And some patients will experience abdominal pain in menstrual period, and the pain will be more severe with the advent of menstruation. Some patients can not even have a normal life because of pain. So, active treatment is important. A

Hormonal birth control from a young age. Did it mask endometriosis?
I received my medical history file from the Netherlands (where I was born) yesterday. It notes: 12 yrs old: patient repeatedly visits the doctor for painful periods, high dose of diclofenac prescribed. 13 yrs old: patient compains that painkillers don't help at all, combined birth control

PD Dialysis - Week 6 - Houston we have a problem
NOTE: THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE IS MINE. DO NOT ASSUME YOU WILL HAVE THIS EXPERIENCE! DO NOT TAKE IT AS NEGATIVE TOWARD PD DIALYSIS. I wanted to post this addendum at the top to let folks know that doing manual PD revealed an issue with my back that had been hiding in the wings. I doubt any of you will

Pain - where my pain comes from! (2)
I used to visit, my GP for annual bloods, the results = nothing unusual all normal every single year on year. My visits to the GP were mainly due to the constant pain, nightmares and fatigue, we talked in the 15 minute allocated slot to determine my future! I have Pain surely I need pain killers? I

Does anybody suffer from HPT high pain threshold?
I am almost immune to pain killers, my system has reached such a level. I slashed my hand by accident, but tried to chat up the doctor whilst she stitched up my hand, I can get injections, no bother! BUT if I got a heart attack, my brain might not recognise it properly? I regularly would break a rib

I'm new, irrational fear of surgery help and pain medication not working.
Hello, I am soon to be 20 and have recently been told I very likely have endometriosis. On one hand it was amazing to know that something can be done about this but on the other hand comes all of the questions along with a potential diagnosis. I am to start on the contraceptive implant that will hopefully

Pain four months after hip replacement surgery
Hello there, I'm writing on behalf of my mum. I was wondering if anyone could please give us some advice. Mum is 76. She has osteoarthritis and had a new hip four months ago. She was recovering well after 12 weeks, but then developed pain in the knee below the new hip. She saw a physio who said her legs

Reoccurrence on the bowel
Afternoon all, bit of an update on my Mum since my last post yesterday. She has been into The Christie today and told she has some cancer on the lining of her bowel. So MDT meeting next week. Ive no idea what to expect from that, more surgery, chemo? I feel floored and can’t imagine how my mum is feeling

Hospital stay
so last week I had a HUGE flare up of diverticulitis (its seems to be a family curse) Thursday I had a bit of pain, didn't think anything about it. Friday it got so bad that on my way home I stopped by the walk in clinic and the PA thought I possibly had a severe groin strain or very mild hernia because
