Adalimumab
Hi, I've had psoriatic arthritis for years , Leflunomide is no longer working for me so I have been put on Adalimumab - did my first injection one week ago and have started feeling quite dizzy and nauseous, Just wondered if any one else has experienced this early on with this drug ? Thanks

Twenty twenty was the year all went wrong that's crystal clear. Things had not been going well before that date, just to tell. Ailments I'd not had before taxed me like a plague of yore. Unknown this and unknown that caught me square and laid me flat. Muscles cramping so in pain no relief drove

Update- any hope for my reconsideration request?zero points for PIP and doesn’t tally with anything I said at interview.
Update: finally finished filling out reconsideration. It’s taken so long and has been making me really anxious. When I got the report from my assessment it seemed to hinge on a paragraph she had copied and pasted for each section stating I had no significant input for pain and mental health. I have provided

When the drugs don’t work
Where to begin… my poor Mum had her first hip replacement in 2007, but it broke and she had a revision in 2008. Unfortunately she was in more pain than ever, and they were about to write the pain off as psychological but thankfully she got referred to an Orthopaedic Specialist hospital who discovered

Tips on testing
Hi, I have a GP appointment next Monday to request that I be tested for arthritis. Can I please get an outline of the most comprehensive tests that I can hope to get from the GP? Also, thinking ahead to the blood draw, is there a particular protocol that I should follow? Many thanks 🙏

Prednisolone and osteoarthritis
As I posted recently, after more than a year of taking 2.5 mg of pred daily, at long last I had an appointment with a rheumatologist who advised me to reduce to 2 mg and then by 0.5 mg reductions at intervals to get down to zero pretty quickly. I'd experienced before that when I reduced my pred dose

Tramadol versus Buprenorphine Patch.
Just a short post as I’m getting very depressed by constant pain from Severe Spinal Stenosis. I had a Laminectomy which failed (Triple Bypass and Mitral Valve Repair also) now diagnosed with Heart Failure so no “normal” painkillers. Pain Management have advised me to try Tramadol prior to possibly using

Amitriptyline
Hi all, I've had ibs -c for many years. Last year I was in so much pain in my hips my doc sent me for an xray it turned out to be an impingement. My doc gave me amitriptyline as a painkiller. Oh my word they worked wonders. I was regular as clockwork no bloating. I had been on a diet with no weight loss

What helps you?
Hi, I have painful arthritis in my fingers, I'm still working and typing every day which doesn't help.I currently just use ibuprofen gel 10 percent and not much else, apart from hot/cold packs which only have a temporary effect. I'm looking for additional help with pain and swelling so wondered if any

Did I cause my PA?
So! I was visiting my doctor yesterday and voiced my concerns about gabapentin as he wants me to up the dose as says I can have up to 3000 mgs aday. I'm resistant having read what I have on the F/B gabapentin page. I told him I preferred to take daily b12 injections to treat my PA than take more painkillers

Health update
Well, the BIG news is that I did NOT slip a disc. The doc said I severely strained the muscles from my knees all the way to my lower back. The pain is almost the same as a slipped disc, but the timescale dramatically different. She said it could take 4-6 weeks. And if I didn’t feel noticeably better

Alternative to ibuprofen
I'm 6 months post sct but my platelets are taking a long time to recover( only c40) so I'm not allowed ibuprofen or aspirin. I use paracetamol for most pain however I sometimes get muscle spasms in my neck/shoulder which I found ibuprofen treated. Does anyone know of an alternative painkiller that

ibuprofen gel
Currently unable to contact a pharmacist or doctor. Does anyone know of a topical pain killer gel I can take whilst on anticoagulants? Apparently, ibuprofen gel is a no-no. Thanks Thanks everyone, pharmacist confirmed I can use Deep Heat, Heat Patches and or, paracetamol.

Wife's in Chronic pain.
Wife is bed bound with an ongoing degenerative spine condition which is causing chronic pain. Our doctors will not subscribe the only effective pain killer which is Fentinol Patches. Other patients in our area whom are in less pain are prescribed patches so we feel really upset with Doctors actions
