Decision about T3 and T4 dosing
I'm already trying to reduce daily
steroids
(prednisolone for Polymyalgia) and really don't want to go hypo as well. T3 and T4 already do not look high to me! What would people suggest as the best way forward?

Octasa / Mesalazine - Should I be seeing more of a change?
I had
steroids
for 3 months which generally helped (though my calprotectin was higher after the course) and I started Octasa 800mg (6 a day) about 2 months ago.

Swollen lymph nodes in neck
Followed my asthma plan, had oral
steroids
and ABs and was ill for 2 weeks. Completely recovered now, peak flow back to normal then woke up with swollen glands (left side only) on Sunday. Apart from a stiff neck and nodes that are tender, I have no other symptoms at all, not even a sore throat.

getting a diagnosis
A course of oral
steroids
sorted him out for a good while. He is now 23 and a professional singer, classically trained but suffers with reflux, persistent cough, and gets every virus on his chest. Recently he couldn’t shake off a chesty cold and ended up in an and e with low oxygen and wheezing.

High BLood Pressure, Kidney failure, cause discovered
I thought most people lose weight on chemo, but since one of my drugs is super high dose
steroids
, I have gained 15# in a month. All my empathy and sincere understanding goes out to all who are struggling with kidney issues.

Question re:- White blood cell count
So my question is , having reduced the
steroids
and the ESR is remaining normal, is it likely that the White Blood Cell count which was high on initial dose of 25 mg and then dropped when I was taking 20mg is likely to have dropped further now I am on 15mg.

exercise tips
My CRP was 17 , the GP said in an ideal world it should’ve gone down to less than 3 after 2 weeks on 15g pred .Appointment made with rheumatologist, he did an ultra sound scan ,no signs of GCA ( I believe to be expected as have been on
steroids
) .

Severe Degenerative Arthritis and Osteoporosis
I have lupus and other autoimmune conditions and have taken
steroids
for many years. This was thought to have partly contributed towards the cause of my osteoporosis. But has taking
steroids
for two decades also increased the chance of degenerative arthritis.? Is there a connection?.

help with the mental health side of vasculitis
Released from hospital a week ago with
steroids
to take. Rest for a few days the rash starts to fade and I can walk again fine and then I overdo it even just from being out and sitting down with no more than an hour up and I find myself completely covered again not being able to walk.

Stopping Actemra
High dose
steroids
are one of the drugs in the chemical cocktail I will be on plus a different biologic, a protease inhibitor and perhaps other drugs. So, the Actemra will just be too much. My bone marrow is making a protein that is destroying my kidneys.

Overdoing it?
Between starting
Steroids
in July 2023 and going on holiday in November I had put on a stone and got sluggish and I was still tired and inactive. Three weeks' warm sunshine and some peace and quiet and I lost half a stone and got to regularly swimming a mile a day and clocking 10,000 steps.
