Tapering - have I got it wrong?
Hi. I am a new member and this is my first post. Diagnosed with PMR in March 2023, started on 15mg of pred on 31st March. It worked like a dream and within 48 hrs, my pain was down 70% and my energy was up 70%. I felt fantastic and within a month started slowly to increase my level of exercise and activity

Oxygen levels after pneumonia
I was discharged from hospital one week ago having suffered a bout of pneumonia and a RSV I was treated in isolation. I know it will take weeks to recover, but I’m concerned about my oxygen level which hovers around 87-89. Any advice?

Schwannomatosis NF3 and AZ Covid 19 vaccines finally out of system after 3 years
Good news for a change? My left arm has been tingling for about the last 6 weeks, shaking, even in sleep I have to put it under the pillow, so I can sleep, this afternoon watching TV, 1st Feb, lower left arm slightly warm twitching as per usual, I lost patience with it and severely hit back of hand

RSV vaccine?
Hi all! Is there any reason that I might want to avoid the RSV vaccine with my PMR? I also have delayed getting the most recent covid booster since I had covid last September and hoping that immunity is going to last awhile. As always, so appreciate the advice on this great site.

Was I wise
Currently on 3.5mg. Rheumatoid arthritis has shown itself in both hands and is very painful. GP said 'I could give you a steroid injection but I don't expect you want that'. I said not - the word 'steroid' frightened me as I am afraid it will be play havoc with the Pred. Was I right to reject his offer

Covid teens
It may have been there before covid, but if it was it was very well hidden. I have two great kids, son and daughter. One was a senior during Covid, and the other was in 10th grade. We will start with seniors story. Needless to say no senior year enjoyment, and then went off to college and his first year

thrush in mouth
I have had antibiotics lately and have thrush in my mouth. I have been prescribed Nystan to take 4 times a day. The nurse /practioner said also rinse my mouth after using my steroid inhaler. The problem is do I rinse and spit or rinse and swallow? Swallowing is so much easier
