Hi everyone,
I’m 35 and was just diagnosed with Stage 1 two days ago. I have my surgery on Tuesday. I’m so scared as I have two little kids, 3 and 1. Any advice or support would be appreciated!! I can’t stop crying and just need an outlet. Thanks

Hi Richras7 - big hugs to you. I know its terrifying! Jeep in mind that if you are stage 1 its most likely VERY contained and this will likely be the end of it. Take it one step at a time and as my psychooncologist says -- react only to the facts - dont try and run out ahead of them!! I cant write much today as Im travelling but happy to help support you here in any way I can!
Good Morning!
Try as hard as you can to stay positive. Melanoma is not a death sentence and there are so many great doctors and treatments out there now. My best advice is to live with awareness and not fear. It might take you awhile to get there because this is so new, but life is so short so you need to keep LIVING! Your children need to be with their mom!
Find a great Melanoma specialist in your area and make sure you are very comfortable with your dermatologist. Anything you need, I am here.
