Hi Margaret,
Not sure why this would be. 10 years ago I had an endometrial sarcoma, which is fairly rare. I wasn't on this group then, and struggled on my own. Certainly I would come here now.
Hope you are well x
I suppose it might be because there are so many groups that people could post in when it comes to having endometrial cancer.
+ some groups cover all of the gynaecological cancers so are bigger by nature.
It is likely that people go for the groups that look most active for answers when going through diagnosis & treatment.
What group is for all gynecological cancers?
Tks
Margaret
The Ask Eve page is run by the Eve Appeal who raise awareness and help to fund research into the 5 Gynaecological cancers. + there are Macmillan and other online groups too. x
Thanks That page is only 20posts
I guess there is not much of a group here for uterine cancer
Maybe on FB
The online Macmillan community is probably the most active, their Endometrial Ca page is - community.macmillan.org.uk/...
I wonder the same. I have had treatment and surgery and find that this cancer does not get as much attention compared to breast and ovarian cancers. Even those at my cancer center agreed.
I’ve wondered the same… my mum has a recurrence of endometrial cancer and I have come her for support xxx
The facebook group for "my" cancer - gynecological carcinosarcoma - is large and active, considering it is a "rare" cancer. It is an extremely well moderated group, focused on the cell type more than "just" the location (uterine; ovarian). That's my first "go-to".
