Can anyone please tell me why my nails are all going brittle, they are white and chalky. Its only the toe nails?

Brittle nails is a common condition and could be due to prolonged exposure to detergent and water,on the other hand it could also be a symptom of underlying medical condition as nails reflect the general state of health. If it persists,do check with the dermatologist.
