Sorry don't know about the Midlands but I had a double bypass 10 years ago at St Thomases; opposite the House's of Parliament. I felt pretty confident there as its the nearest hospital that any Politicians or Lords would be rushed to if they should suddenly grab their chest and keel over !
Also it's the Hospital of choice for Rich Arab royalty and other mega rich to have their heart ops !
They have a plush carpeted Private Patients wing on the top floor supposedly !
