We have created a new poll - To what extent do you find exercise a useful way of reducing tics?

We would love people to take part in this and give us their feedback or experiences about this.

Many thanks

I thought sport would not let me think about the tics. What I found was a surprise to me. In martial arts I am very focused and in another world but when the arms are outstretched in any manner my condition is the same and I am trying to supress. Boxing was great, I had the constant urge to move my elbows away from my body and kept getting whacked. When I am running, even though I was very tired say in the London Marathon, the tics transfered to my legs almost to stop me running in a straight line and even though I was knackered my body still wanted to tic. So I was very disappointed to discover that for me sport does not appear to offer any rest for my urges, or very little. Saying that it hasn't stopped me from doing sports and I find that when I throw myself into my daily job they almost disappear until I finish work hours.
