Can you just stop taking mirtazapine after 5 days? Giving me strange headaches and not helping with sleep.

your doc should have explained to you, and I think it’s in the pack information. This type of tablet takes a few weeks to work. Probably not a good idea to stop meditation without a discussion with a medical professional. You might have a nurse at your surgery who could give more time to you in a consultation ?

Please note comments made by Happyrosie. Your Dr/Health care professional should be monitoring you for first few weeks. As difficult as it is, you need to give any medication a chance. Many SSRI's take 4-8 weeks to show effects but side effects can start almost immediately but they, mostly, eventually level out. I would take this as time to reflect on other health matters like drinking correct amount of water, eating good food etc... But whatever you do, you MUST do it in consultation with your Dr.

I take this medication and the lower the dose the better the sleep. Many doctors start the patients out at 15mg way to high. I would call your doctor and let them know what is going on and see what they want you to do. But at the end of the day it is your decision what route you want to take. I would get a DNA test done to see what medications work best for you.
