I have had various levels of Tinnitus for a number of years, over the last few weeks it has got worse and louder so I did some more research.
This looks promising, will get a hearing test tomorrow and then either do an online consultation or pop over to Dublin for a treatment plan.
Will keep you all informed with my experiences and ask my GP to increase the sertraline from 100 to 150 to see if that helps, I started this medication 6 weeks ago.

as has been said - this treatment might prove promising but is NOT recommended by Tinnitus UK. Please please read their article on this and other potential treatments, and remember there is no actual cure for tinnitus. Lenire might be better than dragons blood of course…..

The Tinnitus Clinic in the UK offers Lenire as one of their ‘treatments’. They have clinic all over.
indeed. If you read Tinnitus Uk article about Lenire you’ll see their take on this. Tinnitus UK have nothing in mind other than as a charity to help us. So we need to be careful before we spend a lot of money on unproven therapies.
The audiologist that I visit (to suction my ears) does charge for his advice - he gives one to one sessions - but not the large sums that, I understand, Lenire therapists charge.
I’ve never actually heard of anyone that Lenire has worked for. There is a tinnitus forum where one group is dedicated to people who are trying it out. I’ve not read it for months but some people were enthusiastic at first when using it, but eventually decided it didn’t work. It’s around £2000 and you would have to pay for each consultation. I think if they were confident it worked they would offer a full money back guarantee but they don’t. And if it worked it would be available on the NHS. But I can understand people wanting to give it a go, anything’s worth a go if you have the money.
One of the former forum members did keep a diary about their Lenire experiences when the product was first launched - their take on it was disappointment in a lack of change, tempered by them being honest that they were not following the advised treatment regime closely. Posts have been deleted by the user, if memory serves.

Also worth adding that Otologie is the patient care division of Neuromod - Lenire is one of the therapies that they offer, alongside audiology services and psychological support. As Philip6 indicates, the Tinnitus Clinic and other private audiology clinics now offer Lenire across the UK in partnership with Neuromod.
Hi, I have been following this treatment for some time now, the results are looking very positive and my audiologist agrees that it is a very interesting that it has been approved in the USA now, I think if you have a positive approach it could be helpful as we are all individual with different causes, even the placebo effect proves helpful then it is surely better than no hope at all.
It does not work. No placebo group in the trials and no primary outcome of tinnitus loudness reduction

I can’t take any antidepressants now without it making my tinnitus worse
I’d go for St John’s Wort or Saffron if I was starting again.
I have a friend who has permanent tinnitus from sertraline too. Consultant advised him to stop.
Hi all, thanks for your responses, after further research and an appointment with my audiologist, wax clean and hearing test we agreed that it's too early to invest so much money in this product. Maybe that would change if Tinnitus Uk recommends this product and more research has been completed.

Save your money. Its not going to help with loudness. Wait for Susan Shore device called Auricle. 75% reduction in volume.

I have a Lenire device gathering dust in a cupboard. I was one of their first paying patients c.5yrs ago and used the device compliantly for 18mths but it didn't do anything for my T I'm afraid.
They can't offer a money back guarantee as there's no way of objectively determining whether an individual has tinnitus or not.
