Yesterday went to bed had a spinning feeling, ears were ready to burst, 30 mins in bed and all was good. That is what I have lived with for 30 plus years now, I get to know when and when not to drive or go out. Air Pressure causes most of my problems now. Never get Sickness (thank goodness) and never get sweats which were so bad, My Eyes tell me now if I am having troubles. Can remember when in ENT Clinic they tested me on a block facing the wall with eyes shut, fell backwards straight away they knew as was ready to catch me, rapid eye movement also causes my Menieres to kick-off badly, hate looking at people flashing past me in supermarkets. When they tested me for REM found out eyes were not in sync. Even now I Have had 3 attacks in 4 years been living here, better air conditions helped. But still get reminders, glasses is another big problem, I need new ones roll on Sept 4th so can go get sorted out. advise to anyone DO NOT get Bi-Vocals, they put me back in the dark days as I call them. changed them straight away, eyes could not focus, and ears kicked off big time. Nausea is only one problem I got, had to empty my stomach completely the other was if not sick, Diarrhoea after my stomach was empty all my spinning stopped, took over a day to get back to normal, it did take it out of me. 8 months off work will tell you how bad I had it, touchwood now almost But never forgotten, it always comes back to haunt me but Nothing as it used to. would never wish this disease on anyone. Was reading about tinnitus and anxiety attacks, yes same thing with me and this dreadful disease in early days, sweat before sickness and lay on bed windows open even in wintertime colder the better to ease the problem. Weather change is the biggest thing now with my condition, after a sunny spell going to dull damp days I struggle still, lived with it so long know when The weather is on change.

Hello Bristolboy. I haven’t anything to offer except sympathy. I know what dizziness and vomiting are like with BPPV and labyrinthitis but menieres sounds even worse. I wish you well.

Hello Happyrosie When I first had Menieres, I was 24 and finally got told at 27 what I had after 3 years of swapping meds etc, Yes I have had very very bad days. Thank Goodness all sorted, had to have early retirement as kept falling down, mostly due to ear loss in one ear, and wearing a headset on the good ear which I lost 65% hearing in. Works Doctor signed me off no problem. Now I get No sickness or Diarrhoea, as soon as my eyes flutter, I go straight to bed lay down. And when I wake all is good again. Lived with this for many years. Wear 2 aids, which is a god send. All is good as it can be now, and thank you only wished I had this site way back then to share my symptoms with. Wish you well with Your BPPV and stay strong.
