I been to GP ENT audiologist they don't seem to help with ear problems if your ear is clear that's it and our hospital here is not to clever unless you go private £225 just to see someone

Seriously, what response do you expect when you pose a question like this? No context, no detail, nothing. If you've got earache and your GP can't help, go speak to a pharmacist.

I use heat as that is what my mum gave me when I was up with ear pain at night as a child. I used to take painkillers to school with me.

If you have an ear infection the above is contraindicated - so see GP/pharmacist.
