Very interesting! I know TNF-a well from my protein chemistry biotechnology work with Covance pharma a few years ago, in fact I used to throw away up to a half a litre of the stuff when it was out of date. Wasting many £1000's each time!

One way we can all get involved in this. If its common for people with Tinnitus to have high levels of TNF-a then we will also have high levels of another annoying condition: Mouth Ulcers. Recent research into Mouth ulcers finds that people whom suffer a lot have high TNF-a. I know I'm plagued with mouth ulcers and have been all my life.

Does anybody else get more than one or two a year? This would support the new TNF-a theory.

I do not have noise induced tinnitus nor hearing loss. I regularly have mouth ulcers though.
