Hearing heart beat at night???

I have been waking up in the night by hearing my heart beat. This has happened 3 nights in a row. It has happened in the past maybe averaging 5-10 times a year. It doesn't happen in the day and goes away after 10minutes or so.

Should get this checked out?? Should I be worried??

This is normally described as pulsatile tinnitus. If you are worried about it then you should see your GP.

If you have any hearing loss or an ear infection you may notice your heart beat more (especially at night time when it’s quiet) as there is less external noise to mask it.

Have a read of the BTA info on the subject ....
