Merry Christmas Everyone.

I have had T for 2 years and struggle a lot with it , I use hearing aids with white noise they help when using them but find when I take them out my T is worse. I think surely the pitch couldn't get any louder but it does . It is constant in both ears and sleep time is also a nightmare.Wondered if anyone has brought the under pillow speakers and have used them what's your view please.

Thank You

Hello and Merry Christmas.

I bought the 'Oasis sound generator' available from the BTA and use it with pillow speakers throughout the night. I have found it to be very helpful. It does take a little while to get used to and to find a sound that works for you but once you do it does help get a better nights sleep. I found the sounds that work best for me are the ones that have water running rather than pure white noise.

Hope this helps

best wishes

Thank you for you advice much appreciated

Hi warwend i bought pillow speakers the problem is you have to position in your pillows and sleep with your ears over where the speakers are alternatives are you can buy headbands with built in speakers either Bluetooth that connects to another Bluetooth gadget like a smart phone or bluetooth speaker or you can buy a speaker headband where you connect the lead to a earphone socket on a long lead and have your phone or other device next to your bed or tuck it under your pillow like a smart phone the only downside to wearing a headband is they make you sweat or like many tinnitus sufferers have a oasis unit next to your bed and listen to a choice of nature sounds hope this helps. I use my pillow speakers but have they same problem as you have in that I have to turn the volume up to mask the Tinnitus. It's a merry go round because the higher your Tinnitus, the more you pump up the sound machine, Tinnitus never plays by the rules?,

Best Wishes for the coming New Year. Lots of Bells and all that.
