Ginger is good for nausea, try boiling a pan of water with done fresh ginger root in it. Or some ready made ginger tea. Also health food shops do ginger sweets but this will depend on her tolerance to sugar.

I hope this helps, good luck.

I too suffer with having nausea all of the time and i have found that "Slippery Elm" does help as it puts a protective lining on to the stomach. You can get it from health shops but i got mine from Amazon and it costs about £10-50 for 4ozs. I hope this was of some help, sincere regards.

Ginger is a brilliant natural anti-emetic and I find it helps me but if you're looking for a medicinal anti-emetic, domperidone aka Motilium is a good one and it's available over the counter.

Is it possible she could be having a reaction to gluten foods, hope not. Sorry to hear daughter has IBS. Hope the ginger advice helps.

I suffered badly with nausea throughout my teens [many years ago]! and after being told it was all just 'nerves' and undergoing awful psychiatric treatment with no benefit, the drug that helped me a lot was a mild dose of anti-depressant Anafronil. I have unfortunately gone on to suffer from full blown IBS, never heard of in those days. I would recommend that your daughter asks about a low dose anti-depressant as it made a huge difference to me. She has all my sympathy.

Low dose antidepressants can really help. I was on Amytriptilene plus my Zoloft. The only problem with the Amy was that it can leave your feeling "zoned out" during the day. This I found hard to deal with..

Thank you all for your advice. I will look into ginger for her and also get her to speak to her GP.

Hi, I find that travel sick tablets are really good, I use Stugeron, and also try 1 part honey to 4 parts cider vinegar, doesn't sound very nice but actually it's quite pleasant to drink. This was a remedy my late father used. Best of luck
