Usually every 6 months I have a bad flare up with lesser episodes in between.

I have had IBSd constantly for 14 years now and in that time have never had a 'normal' bowel movement or had a day without diarrhoea. I used to worry constantly about it but have found that now after all this time I have times when I don't worry too much.

There are times my symptoms are worse but I try and manage them the best I can both physiologically and physically. I know I can't beat the IBS but I can do all I can to help me manage it. It is there every day but I try not to let it rule my life!

I think I have gone about 8 months. I am now starting to keep track of when and how often these attacks occur.
