I have lower left belly pain and lots of gas . If I lay down the pain goes away fairly quickly.Thoughts on that anyone?

I have found that fairly recently. The only problem is I am laying down and often fall asleep for an hour or so, my wife thinks I am being lazy. I find that if I lay on my left side and cuddle a pillow, it seems to work slightly quicker.
