Does anyone suffer from Steatohrrea & if so, what helps?

I’d never heard of this before. I googled it, as you do!!! It sounds a bit like bile acid malabsorption (BAM). Have you been tested for this. I’m going to a gastro in July & my gp has asked for me to have the test. Don’t know whether that helps you or not!!

Hi, No I haven't been tested for streatorrhea. I've been diagnosed with bam. They gave me Colesevelam & believe it or not, it made me worse. When I found out about streatorrhea, it said that these binder medications will make your bam worse. CRIPES!! Apparently they treat it with enzymes, Mice oils (Approved fish oils) & iv electoralyts which funnily enough I got 2 bags pumped into me last week as my symptoms got so bad I ended up in hospital. Oh & also ppi's help streatorrhea which is all I am on the now & have been doing fine. Especially without Colesevelam.

So your being tested for streatorrhea or bam?

Haha, I did wonder about mice oils, I’d never heard of them!!😂. I’m being tested for BAM which I’d never heard of before going on this forum. It’s amazing the things you hear about!!
