I'm on it now. I suffer from IBS-D. It helps with the pain, however I still have the bad smelly consistent smelly gas, loud stomach noises like an exorcism is being performed in there and that. I God awful smelly diarrhea. I tried Xifaxin. Still suffer from the bad diarrhea. Just wondering what is out there that can slow down the diarrhea. My husband and I don't go out to eat anymore because after a very small (and I mean like bird rations) of food in off to the bathroom several more times. then again at home. Imodium doesn't work. They've ran a colonoscopy and endoscopy. Blood work and stool specimens. The few polyps they found were ok. Keep trying different meds till you find be that works with you. You and your GI Doctor are going to be seeing each other regularly. Keep us posted and good luck!

Hi,thanks for your reply,Ive already had all the tests as ive had IBS and diverticular disease for 20yrs,ive tried everything ive ever heard about that may help, ive just tried going gluten free hoping that may help, but no such luck,I just read about dicyclomine and wondered wether it was worth asking my dr for it,I alternate between D and C,but have every other symptom as well every day,ive just ordered some different digestive enzymes to give them another try ,its a never ending search isn't it,really its the only thing that keeps me going searching for something that might help.

I am now on Librax, it takes a couple months to start working but it is working. My IBS-D is anxiety based and this has an anti-anxiety med in it Also started making smoothies with spinach, fruit and a banana, oats and almond milk and believe that is helping too. Hope you get some relief soon!

Hi everyone:

I have tried Bentyl. Sometimes it helps and sometimes it doesn't . Three years ago, I was told I had severe IBS/C. They have tried me on various medications which included anti- depressants, stronger medications like Hydrocodone, Actetemphone. I have Al's tried Accuputure, Hypnosis, a Homepathic doctor. Recently, I had Adominal I surgery, i. which they removed Adhesions on my colon. I thought this severe Charlie horses spans, I get on the right side of my colon.. This didn't stop it. My surgeon is doing Cat Scan this week to see what might have happened.

I have a question when any of you have these spasms; do any you have numbness in your feet; stiffness in your hands, numbness in your lips.

Sorry this is so long. Best to all of you! -Jennie
