I now have a 'mass' on the ovary which does not appear to be a cyst. Had a CT scan and waiting for the results of CA125 blood tests. Having a MRI scan on Thursday. The CT scan shows that it is not fluid so unlikely to be a cyst.
I am 53 and post menopausal.

There is no established link with Non Hodgekin’s Lymphoma and Ovarian Cancer but lymphoma can occur anywhere in the body. If the tests reveal that the lump is a lymphoma then the same treatment option of watch and wait may be the most appropriate.
The CA 125 blood test looks for the CA125 tumour or biomarker which is a substance that is found in greater concentration in the tumour cells than in any other cells of the body. I know it is a hugely anxious time when waiting for tests or test results but in this case the only way to have an accurate diagnosis would be to wait for further tests. Should you wish to talk to anyone to find out more about ovarian cancer you can call our Freephone Cancer Support Line on 0808 808 1010.
Thanks Jo, I am trying not to cross bridges before I get to them but it is hard........had MRI scan on Thursday and I will get the results on Wednesday 25th. I will let you know how it turns out.
Thought this website might be of use to you. Lots of information about lymphoma, great community and great support for patients and families. leukaemialymphomaresearch.o...
