i tend to go with swimming and walking more so i'm burning off more calories and then stick to mostly fruits and veg and protein. As that seems safe!

I think the answers relevant to this question depends on the type of eating disorder you have and where you are in the recovery process.

Perhaps the change in environment itself may enable you to feel less pressured. If so you may be able to give the part of you that is having a tough time a bit of a holiday too.

eat small amounts of healthy food throughout the day, and make sure you're moving around lots - go hiking in the sun, go to museums and historical sites, keep yourself busy. And at the end of the day, try to organise you and your fellow travellers to eat supper earlier - and make sure you go for a nice walk in the evening. This will take your mind off of the urge to get rid of your meal. I find that when I'm on holiday I purge less requently and am happier as A) sun boosts your mood and also makes you comfort eat less B)I'm experiencing new and inteersting places. Have a good time and think of the small bits of food you try as being part of a valuable, exciting experience - feel the sun on your face, the healthy food in your tummy, and remind yourself that such experiences are good for you soul :) and that you owe it to yourself! Good luck xx
