really really struggling. What could happen?

A few weeks ago I was admitted to hospital for refeeding. I stayed for 10 days and my meal plan increased quickly and I stuck to it and complied completely, as I was so desperate to get home. After I was discharged I continued to eat a fair amount and I gained 5kg. it was all going well but I fell back into anorexia and lost all that weight and more - my bmi's under 13. I feel unable to eat and I've been restricting under 400 calories a day. I'm on the waiting list for a bed on an eating disorder unit but it'll be a couple more weeks. I'm really sorry if this post's triggering for anyone - firstly - but I want to know where I stand.

I have an appointment on Tuesday and basically I'm planning to tell her the truth. I don't want to eat anymore. But I am terrified I'll be sectioned and/or given an ng tube. Is it likely that'll happen? What rights do I have? What are my options?

Thank you in advance :)

If I am honest, I do not actually know what will happen. I would think there is a likelihood that you would get sectioned but I don't know. :(

It really sucks to hear what you are going through. I hope you are able to get better.

I'll ask around for you! But honestly, their job is to keep you alive. And so I think they'll do whatever they can to do that. I'm always here if you need to talk. Sending love and prayers from TX.

Hi Sweetie, I'm so sorry you are going through this. 2 years ago I was in you situation and was sectioned and but on an NG tube. This is the only thing that got me better. I know it is absolutely horrid. I don't remember much about it as I was given hours to live. My sister who sadly also has an eating disorder and a 18 months after I was in hospital she was admitted with hours to live she also was given an NG tube and says this is the only reason she also is better. (By this I mean a healthy weight) the other people who are in eating disorder clinics who don't get NG tube seem to be in and out of hospital but the success rate of being tube food is so much better. It is the shock that we need. So maybe as horrid and traumatic as it is this might be the only way you are going to recover. I do hope they can help xx

thank you for sharing your own experience.

I will always comply with whatever the doctors want so if they decided that an ng tube was best I would go along with that. I just always thought you had to be sectioned?which obviously I don't want to happen.
