Have I got Cushing Syndrome?
For years I was on high strength steroid
Seretide
. I didn't like it from the start because only two weeks after taking it my joints hurt.

Can you help me? too much phlegm on my chest
Yes really Not under a consultant and think that may be the next step I take daily Montelukast Sodium 10mg (evening), Ventolin of course,
Seretide
and Piriton if I need it Steroids tend to flood down my throat in the damp months and I feel really low in myself as I just have so many months of feeling

Bronchiectasis
Chemist over the counter stuff including antihistamines daily,
Seretide
inhaler, Montelukast at night and two courses of steroids later - no improvement. Eventually, they found a bacteria in my lung - haemaephillius influenzae.

Flutiform v Seretide
So I am on
seretide
, tiotrope, carbocistene along with aspirin for arrythmia. (And penicillin 'cos of the AML 10 years ago) I find that at my dosage of
Seretide
(250 mg x3 x2pd) Flutiform will save £13 a day! It might be good, it might be better - but I get no choice; its unilateral!

Wanting to come off Seretide
What I do want to do, is get back onto the
Seretide
so I feel completely relaxed chest wise, and document my peak flows, and increase my cardio to see if I can increase my performance and combat the requirement for
Seretide
. I would like to document this here. Is this allowed?

Asthma and working
Hi, i've had asthma for around 7yrs, a little bit about myself: I contracted it when I had a really bad flu, I'm on
seretide
and salbutamol, its very rare I use the salbutamol, and rarely get the swollen throat any more, but it does effect my chest if I don't take precautions like when I'm round pollen

Medication Change
Just moved onto circular
Seretide
combination inhaler (I think - lost track of names!). Seem a bit better in some regards but experiencing heavy legs with aches and chest moved from being uncomfy to stiff/heavy. Anyone else had a similar experience? Thanks, Davy

Some success with breathing excercises and new meds.
The Alvesco has none of the throat adverse effects & dryness that comes with
Seretide
as it only activates in the lungs. Alvesco is also a small particle inhaler which suits my condition as my small airway function is reduced.

I have been taking ventolin for many years and

seretide
as it was too expensive and my GP has prescribed fostair instead. Has anyother members been told this. Cheers Mini xxxx

cough variant asthma?
Having looked at all your input, i will take it easy on
Seretide
and concentrate on the blue and see what happens until I can see GP in a couple of days.

tight chest /heatburn
So I've been essentially symptom free for some time now and have stepped down medication to just 1 puff a day of
seretide
50. I've been on this for a few months now and still had no trouble which is great.
