Diet and nutrition
Fortunately it has been well managed with Becotide/Clenil and
salbutamol
but this year I have been having trouble (good peak flow and no wheezing but very breathless). I am now on Seretide 125 and had some Pred tablets recently too. I am not that keen on Seretide to be honest.

types of chestpain
i cannot explain how it feels except it ""hurts"". no, it does not particularly make my breathing harder, but it does not help either. i dont really know to be honest, as i tend to have to sit down when the pain comes as it hurts. going up the stairs makes it worse.

The Nurses did brilliantly in a very difficult situation but they kept running out of basics like
Salbutamol
nebs and Atrovent nebs and not understanding the importance of having 4 hourly nebs. Aargh!

Walk in centres grrr!
They also refused to see someone who wanted a
salbutamol
inhaler and sound quite breathless! I thought that was really bad and wanted to shout out to her that she could go to the pharmacy and they'd probably be able to give her one.

Out of control asthma: how do I survive?
I have a *probable* dx of intrinsic asthma - the ""challenge"" test of a few weeks ago indicated that I don't have the allergic type. They seem to have eliminated other causes for my chronic cough, chest tightness and wheezing...every year I get a ""cold"" that lasts 2-3 months, then I still cough when

piko and fev1
His peak flows seem to pick up a bit better with
Salbutamol
than the fev1. Should these not correlate a bit better? I have noticed before that he can be quite breathless with a reasonable peak flow but has a much lower fev1.

Can anyone help I was prescribed a
Salbutamol
Inhalation IP Ventorlin inhaler cfc free. Has this anything to do with the Ventalin blue. I know that this can be bought on the internet but are they the same as I bought some as they feel different. I know i was desperate. Any info would be great.

Recovery time?
I still have a fairly heavy
salbutamol
requirement (although nowhere near as much as I needed at the worst point), and although my peak flow is almost back to normal (with a lot of help from the
salbutamol
) I'm still finding myself out of breath very easily.

Symbicort
From my perspective its worked wonders as its replaced many inhalers including
salbutamol
which ive taken for most of my life and the need to take prednisolone tablets for exacerbations, at least for now anyway.

Recently diagnosed, and feeling low
I've been seeing my GP, who has prescribed
Salbutamol
, and I'm being monitered. Having spirometry tests next week, and may have to have a steroid inhaler too. This is all new to me though, and I'm feeling a bit low at the moment.

asthma or not? moan alert!
We have a good relationship with the reg and sho's at our local who seem to accept Jay doesn't wheeze and have taken to looking for other signs such as inablity to talk in sentances, chest pain, accessory use and response to
salbutamol
. They ask Jay how he feels and seem to trust his judgement.

Atrovent
Label says 'two puffs when symptoms' and I know it works differently from
salbutamol
. However, I'm still a bit confused about when I would take this instead of Ventolin - do you alternate, or what? eg if I woke up in the night would I reach for this or for Ventolin?

Being around smokers
Am currently on Seretide 500 Accuhaler (1 puff, twice a day), plus blue
Salbutamol
as required. We're still in the early stages, so it's hard to tell what the triggers are. I'm currently waiting for blood test results for general allergies, plus specific tests for house dust mites, grass and cats.

weird reaction to salbutamol
I have just needed to take a lot of
salbutamol
- more than usuall (about 4-6 puffs) and I have noticed that although i feel better, I have a very quiet wheeze/funny feeling in my chest, upon INHALATION. i say wheeze cause it feels that way but you can barely hear it. it is not stridor because it is deep
