Salbutamol sends my nipper nutty!!
Has anyone else experienced side effects with
Salbutamol
?? My son's asthma is very seasonal and only happens when he gets a bad cough/cold. I have been told only to use the preventer when he gets a cold but, as it seems to take an age to kick in he needs the reliever, sometimes quite a lot.

Feeling better already - My first post
She needs
salbutamol
too much for it to be effective and clearly she needs some preventive as well as reliever medication. Again, we are seeing going to a specialist allergy clinic next week so hopefully will be able to get that assessed then.

Brittle Asthma - Any advice - tips etc and General Rant!!!
He's currently on 2 puffs of Becotide morning and night and Montelukast every day and
Salbutamol
as needed. He also has Prednisolone as needed (much too often for my liking). He also appears to have Hayfever (Allergic Rhinitus) which i think has triggered the last two attacks!!!

Atrovent
Hiya, My little boy of 5 years old is on 200mcg (daily dose) of seretide and 5ml of cetirizine in the evening, yet we have had to use his
salbutamol
in the last 4-6 weeks as he is starting to get some asthma symptoms.

What comes next?
She is on 10mg ceterizine, 4mg singulair, 15mg lansoperazole, azithromycin (three times per week for the anti-inflammatory properties), Seretide 250 (4 puffs a day),
salbutamol
nebs and inhaler. She also takes 40mg of steroids very regularly. What comes next for a little one?

Info over attacks
I'm having additional
salbutamol
/atrovent at lunchtime which helps but by the end of the day my back hurts at the top and I'm struggling to do more than one thing ie get breathless if I walk and talk. I come home crash out on the sofa until its time for my pulmicort neb.

Portable nebuliser
Does anyone use the Omron microair NE-22 (think this is right) to neb pulmicort and
salbutamol
/atrovent? This looked great as it can be run off AA batteries. I phoned Omron who said it should be OK but the steroid could cause the mesh to block faster.

Trouble getting diagnosed?
I went to the doctor who at first thought it was just a cold and said to give it 4 weeks and if it wasn't any better to go back, it didn't get better so I went back and he then suggested that it might be Asthma, he gave me a
Salbutamol
Sulphate Evohaler and told me to take it when needed and he then

salbutamol
shakes all the time? my cons is really against these and says they're 'witchcraft', but witchcraft is about the only thing we haven't tried to help my asthma.

Is this normal???
Now on 6 puffs

6 times a day and told to ween off slowly as I feel better. I'm still SOB when getting ready etc. Any idea how long i should stay doing this for before I go back or what I can do to speed up the recovery?

What to do in an Emergency
All the help forums, etc. say use your
salbutamol
(which I did) and if this doesn't help call a doctor or go to hospital - but what do you do if you can't?
