which hospital
We have home nebs as well as spacer but aren't encouraged to use the home neb for
salbutamol
because his potassium level drops so much. We use it more frequently with saline nebs - once he's had 2
salbutamol
nebs he goes to the ward so they can monitor his potassium and heart .

A doggy problem?
Logan was given some
salbutamol
liquid for a wheeze last autumn. It was prescribed initially by a paed, whom he had been referred to for a heart murmur. The murmur was nothing serious - the paed says he may just get it when unwell. He has only had to use it occasionally.

Nursery won't give inhaler.
My 13 month old has a
salbutamol
inhaler for occassional asthma - I'm really hoping that she doesn't follow me and her dad and get full on asthma but thats another story! Anyway, I went back to work part time when she was 11 months and she was going to a nursery for 1 day a week.

GP just not helping!
After a week I took him to the GP as I was worried because he was 'maxed out' on his inhalers ie the recommended 10 puffs
salbutamol
and 2 puffs atrovent, and we were only just managing to stay one step ahead of his asthma.

it is asthma - what comes next?
They continued treating with 10 puffs of
Salbutamol
3 hourly despite low peak flows and Jay complaining his chest was sore and he was having difficulty breathing. Eventually agreed to 2 hourly Ventolin but would not give nebs.

3rd visit to a&e in 3 months
He has been discharged with
salbutamol
and a brown prevented. He will have a follow up in outpatients. Frustrating as they will not diagnose why this is happening. He complained of stomach ache just before he went to hospital, while he was there and when he got home.

I am tired all the time and asthma is totally off balance.Maintenance pred at an all time high and copius amounts of
salbutamol
keeping me a float. Little man not been well for 3 months, i am lucky to get two consecutive hours sleep which obviously is contributing to my sleepy disposition.

Confused and worried
We were given
Salbutamol
to keep to hand as and when required. He's had numerous overnight stays in hospital over the following years whereby, nebulisers and steroids have controlled the problem.
