I went to my GP when I got back 2 days later, he prescribed pred, 20mg a day for 7 days and changed my inhalers to salamol (2 puffs 4 times a day for now) and
Qvar
(2 puffs twice a day for now).

Need a rant to people who understand!
I'm also taking
qvar
, spiriva, singulair, theophylline, and god knows how much ventolin! I'd never had a hospital admission for my asthma until november last year, just had the odd neb until that point.

Constant productive cough and voice problems
Went through chest x ray - clear, treatment with antibiotics and steroid sprays -Clenil,then
Qvar
, Ventolin, Ipratropium etc. none of which seemed to help. Spirometry inconclusive for reversability - about 7% I think.

Serevent Problems
(At this point I was taking Ventolin,
Qvar
, Serevent and Flixonase nasal spray). I decided to stop the Serevent first (and by the way, I'm under no circumstances recommending that this is what anyone should do, but I got a bit desperate!)

How do you use your aerochamber plus?
I've just been put onto
Qvar
which I am using with my aerochamber plus. I've not used one for a while, and when I saw the dr, he told me to do 2 puffs into the aerochamber and then breathe in and out as normal - making sure I did the out breath through the spacer as well and not out of my nose.

Nedocromil / Tilade Inhaler
I am currently on Fostair and
Qvar
, 2 puffs 3 times daily. My cons has just added in Tilae / Nedocromil Inhaler, 2 puffs, 4 times a day. I took it for the first time this morning but it is such a strong puff of medicine that firstly it made me choke, then secondly, it takes foul and made me gag!

AeroChamber problem
Around two years ago, I was prescribed a superior form of Becotide called
Qvar
, which has smaller particles. However this doesn't fit the Volumatic, and requires a different, smaller spacer device called AeroChamber plus.

Handihaler and asthma
I'm still not convinced that the seretide is right for me, as when I first had the chest infections I was on
QVAR
and my normal peak flow was 320EU. It's still this now on the Seretide and I'm still getting problems each winter, I also have a nasonex spray for Rhinitis.

Anyone use a Qvar and/or Serevent?
So he's ""starting from the begining"" apparently, and I've got
Qvar
100 and Serevet 50 mcg. The Serevet inhalor looks a bit like pacman, which is exciting! Thing is, I've come home and suddenly realised that I didn't ask him if I should stop the singular.

Cough, cold and asthma - not sure whether I'm over-reacting
At the moment, I'm on Severent and
Qvar
100 - 2 puffs of each twice a day, and singular at night time. I now have a cold, and hacking cough. I can feel a sight rattle, but not all the time. I've coughed so much my chest really hurts and I can feel that my throat is raw from coughing.

Really sore throat
Have recently been prescribed
Qvar
and Oxis. My throat is so sore and my voice keeps disappearing, in spite of rinsing my mouth out and cleaning my teeth after each inhalation. Can anyone suggest a remedy for easing this. I cannot see any evidence of fungal infection.

Qvar
Brown inhaler. initially my symptoms were better but after a couple of days they began to get worse again.
