I managed to import
naltrexone
, which is not available in Thailand, but it made me violently sick. The local Thai psychiatrist has tried me on topamax and then gabapentin as off label use to try and help me to reduce my heavy drinking, but to no avail.

For my fellow Restless Leg Syndrome sufferers
Think that taking low dose
Naltrexone
( LDN) has also helped. Thought it was very positive to find an enlightened doctor who actually recommends keeping eye on ferritin levels. All the best to all you wonderful people on this forum. Thank you for all that you do🌸

Update on LDN
A while back I posted that I would be trying low-dose
naltrexone
and would report the results. Here is an update after one month of LDN. I began taking 1.1mg of LDN in addition to my regular dose of prednisone. I had just tapered slowly to 12 1/2mg, taking 5mg at 2 AM.

Results and Advice Please
I also take LDN (low dose
naltrexone
) 4.5 mcg. I used to be on high doses (100-125 mcg of levo) and 15 mcg of T3 felt terrible on this - migraines and always felt hypo. I don't think I convert T4 very well.

Does Multiple Positive ANA Tests Usually Mean Autoimmune Disease?
I have been on
Naltrexone
now for over a year I believe. Symptoms have a habit of coming and going, being mild at times, more severe at others. Flare-ups can last anywhere from hours to weeks.

LDN for RLS??
LDN, in case you’re unfamiliar, is “Low Dose
Naltrexone
”. It’s an older medication that has to be compounded into a tiny therapeutic dose for use “off label”.

Naltrexone LDN and Tramadol
I have been prescribed .5 mg
naltrexone
twice daily. Any advice when to take the pills? The pharmacist suggested 6 pm and 6 am. However, I have read it should be taken at night after 10p, 2 hours after food.

I am currently on low dose
naltrexone
and am newly started on hydroxychloroquine. No other blood tests have come back abnormal except an antibody for Sjogren’s barley positive once and I believe protein has shown in urine before.

Anyone with Hashimoto taking Naltrexone (LDN)?
Hi, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto about 6 years ago and left to deal with it by myself. Saw an endocrinologist (who told me what I have) and a letter a few years latter from another consultant that recommend iron supplement (it did help a bit). Apart from that I have received 0 help, instructions

naltrexone hcl
I noticed one of the ingredients was
naltrexone
hcl. This has been mentioned on here before for PD. Interesting. Supposed to stop cravings. “
Naltrexone
, which blocks opioid receptors, is FDA-approved for the treatment of alcohol dependence and has shown benefit for pathological gambling.

Wait a couple of days
Eventually I was able to taper to zero Pred. with the help of Low Dose
Naltrexone
(LDN), which must come from a compounding pharmacy. Not many doctors are familiar with this treatment--yet. All I can say is that it worked for me and there are no side-effects. You can quit at any time.
