Iona, our first and only child, became ill on Sunday April 2003, in much the same way that many children her age do. Iona was 18 months old. It appeared that she was suffering with a stomach bug, and the symptoms continued through to Tuesday 8 April, when we took her to our GP. After examining her,

3rd visit to a&e in 3 months
My son is 3 yrs old and was in a&e on Monday with wheezyness and rapid breathing. He was admitted overnight 4 weeks ago. Doctors reluctant to diagnose asthma although asthma and allergies common in my family. Monday was scary as he fell asleep during nebuliser and was very tired after a sleepless night

3 year old in hospital for 1st time
Hi I'm new to this site and have just spent an hour reading some of the posts. I suffer with mild asthma but the query is related to my 3 year old son. A brief history.. I took him to my GP about 8 months ago with cold like symptoms and wheeziness - listened to chest and said it was viral and gave antibiotics

My 3 year old boy (who has asthma but not related to this), came into our bed ealry hours Saturday morning and unsettled but sleeping in-between. When I asked him if something was sore he said his ear was. I gave him some calpol and he slept and has been fine since. This morning he woke with blood
