Anyone else worry about long term side effects of medication
I am currently taking
Flutiform
250 twice a day, he has now included Spiriva which doesn't seem to be doing much, and a antihistamine. In addition to Asthma meds I also take an Antidepressant and Levothyroxine!

Advice required please
I had a bad asthma attack exacerbated by a chest infection in January this year and was prescribed Prednisolone initially but am now on a
Flutiform
250 inhaler. Over the past 6 weeks my voice has changed and become quite hoarse. I am breathless constantly.

Can peak flow be increased
My doctor has suggested that I try another inhaler as well as 2 puffs twice a day of the
Flutiform
250/10. He seems to think that there is a chance that this additional inhaler may improve my peak flow! In anyone's experience is this possible as I am sceptical? Thank you.

Newbie with worsening Asthma
Now in my 40s it has become progressively worse and I am taking the highest dose of steroid inhaler
Flutiform
250 two puffs twice a day. My asthma however hasn't been well controlled for some time and it has been worse than ever this week so I went to see my GP.

Symbicort 200/6 SMART
I have been struggling with control/persistent chest infections for a number of months now and was on maximum dose of
Flutiform
which my GP was able to prescribe as well as Montelukast. Am really hoping that this now gives me the flexibility I need to get things under control again.

Advice needed - how can I regain control?
She swapped my inhaler to
Flutiform
250 (2 puffs twice a day) and after about a week I was feeling much more like my old self. I even had 3 days on the trot without having to take my Ventolin at all!

Only severe asthma they say!!
Flutiform
! So I left being told I'm obese, that I should lose weight and this will help ( as I defiantly have asthma he said) and when he gave me a little bit of hope this was taken away when he said it is just a combination of 2 I'm already on!

Flutiform v. Seretide
She was not happy with peak flow and number of times I'm experiencing symptoms and has changed the Seretide to
Flutiform
250x2 twice a day. Does anyone have experience of these inhalers and how they compare?

what is happening
The nurse the day before I saw said i was at brittle asthma stage, I was taken off my normal inhalers Clenil which the doctor had increased to 1,500 mgs per day and salmeterol but still on montilukast tablets, changing to
flutiform
125 with two combined steroids I think?

New ultra long acting combination inhaler. Cheaper than symbicort, It might help some?
It is not licensed for use in patients who are already adequately controlled on both an ICS and a LABA, unlike the other 4 ICS/LABA combination inhalers that are licensed in the UK for the treatment of asthma (summaries of product characteristics: Seretide,
Flutiform
, Symbicort and Fostair).
