Pride comes before a fall! Anticoagulant thoughts.
Good evening everyone, Well there I was, floating on my little cloud of self-satisfaction, thinking I’d kicked the AF monster good and proper once I got my sleep apnoea under control. My nightly AF episodes became a thing of the past - bliss! You all know what’s coming next though, don’t you. That

AFIB and CBD use????
I am 57 and in relatively good shape. I have serious restless leg syndrome and on January 2nd started taking a full spectrum CBD gummy at night for sleep help. After about 2 weeks I noticed that the RLS had significantly subsided and I was getting better and better sleep. Then right after 2 weeks

long term outlook on arrhythmias
I know most of you have AF, whereas I have atrial flutter/SVT/atrial tachycardia. I had an ablation for flutter in October 2020 and am now 55. I enjoyed 3 peaceful years, taking only medication for an under active thyroid and an anticoagulant ( my choice , not the doctors). On Thursday evening my heart

Cardioversion
I recently had a Cardioversion for persistent AF. This worked immediately but very quickly reverted. I have never been aware of the AF, I only get the notification from my BPM. My BP is reasonable (medicated) and my heart rate is always about 66. My main problem is exhaustion and breathlessness. The

Afib worse after ablation
I know that after ablation one has to be patient till the end of the blanking period of 3 months. But Afib gets Afib anyway, and probably it is better to avoid the establishment of rogue signal paths through the heart’s little scars left by ablation. I have a paroxismal Afib, a episode every about

Ablation outcome
So I haven't been on for a while or updated on the outcome of my ablation that I had at the end of August. I stayed in and out of NSR for about 2 weeks before settling in to a symptomless permanent AFib. The only problem was I felt breathless on climbing hills or running. A 24 hour ECG showed my average

Bisoprolol 1.25 dosage. Coming off it?
Bisoprolol? I am on a very low dosage, 1.25 ml., and have been for more than a year. Over past months I have felt incredibly tired (sleeping for too long overnight/having naps during the day) and have been totally lacking in energy with no real interest (I don’t feel depressed) to move myself. On monitoring

No more multiple PVCs after daily sauna
I am a 58 years old male. I went into cardiac arrest almost 2 years ago when I was rapid afib. I now have a pacemaker defibrilator. Thanks to my diet, rich in potassium and magnesium, I have been afib free most of the time. Though at times I still had multiple PVC's, bigeminy usually at lunch time.

Ablation update and reassurances.
Had an ablation Dec.30. Afib episodes Jan. 2-5. I felt worse than ever before but Doc said to take 200mgs amiodarone on the 5th and would schedule a cardioversion if I didn't go back into NSR in next couple days. Well, lo and behold, went into NSR on the 6th and been afib free since. I have a follow

A morbid subject but who is the oldest person with Cardiomyopathy?
I'm 64, Hypertrohic Cardiomyopathy, pacemaker and ICD in place, anticoagulants, betablockers etc. Generally well but lack energy.

Can you help with this Kardia ECG strip please? Kardia say it is sinus rhythm but I’m not so sure
Reported by Kardia as sinus rhythm. I wonder if it is slow atrial flutter or heart block. I have had permanent atrial fibrillation for years after ultimately unsuccessful ablations. I only take an anticoagulant but last night I was batting along at 112 per minute during a tense online chess game so

Going in For Second Ablation
Hi folks! I had my first ablation over four years ago, at Texas Cardiac Arrythmia with Dr. Andrea Natale. I wasn't able to come off my medication after, but the meds then worked to control my afib and numerous PVCs where it didn't pre-ablation. During these four years I had been taking 50 mg of Flecainide

stay positive….
Hi everyone. After having A.Fib for almost two years I had a cardioversion done on the 15 Dec last supported by six months on Amiodarone. My heart rate is now in Normal Sinus Rhythm and so far all's good. Had the Bisoprolol reduced from 3.75 twice a day to 1.25 twice a day and feel a lot more comfortable

Travelling with Afib
Hello all. I've had 3 episodes of paroxysmal afib, each time reverting back to sinus rythym in a few hours. I've had a normal 24hr monitor and echocardiogram, but I do have pre-existing CAD with 5 stents. Since the 1st episode I've taken edoxoban and my bisoprolol has been increased from 5mg to 6.25mg
