It’s been a loooong night 😴😴
Yet more nebs, plus
atrovent
and hydrocortisone and he keeps saying ‘not sure if you need adrenaline yet... hmmm let’s keep it in reserve’ (tell him I don’t need as never had and I’m not that bad... it’s just a chest infection 😅).

Last week I’d had three attacks in the space of a week that resulted in A&E treatment with salbutamol,
atrovent
, hydrocortisone, magnesium and pred tablets. I’ve had an attack free week and have finished the pred now and the ‘cold turkey’ has now set in.

Nebuliser
And 3
atrovent
daily. Plus symbicort 4 times per day. I'm a bit worried about having more salbutamol. Has anyone increased nebulisers , say to every 2 hours or so and been ok?

Post attack advice please
The paramedics were amazing and gave me
atrovent
? And IV hydrocortisone before whisking me to a+e. When I was there i had 3 lots of ipratropium and salbutamol nebs over a period of a few hours. They kept a good eye on me eventually let me home at 2am.

Finally started the short course of oral steroids
Nebs are not really working as I still feel the asthma symptoms after taking bricanyl and
atrovent
. Maybe it's too soon to see a change so I'm really hoping that the pred will work and that I will finally get to move on from this nightmare and resume a normal life.

Bad spell of asthma
He has now been increased to Seretide 500 & given
atrovent
inhaler & a nebuliser. How often should he be using the
atrovent
nebules rather than the inhaler? It just arrived but he wasn’t given much guidance on how often. (Got a few days before next appointment).

Can too much ventolin make asthma symptoms worse ?
Also, I take up to 20 puffs of ventolin everyday and 3 nebs of bricanyl/
atrovent
and despite all this medication I rarely feel better. Most of the time it doesn't work or it only works for 2 hours and then the tight chest comes back. Does it often happen that the nebs and ventolin don't work ?

Two questions about my asthma
I've also had some nebs at home of bricanyl and
atrovent
but it doesn't seem to be as effective as the one I had at the hospital. Thank You

Thank you! & Here’s my story...
I’m on symbicort for my asthma and my pulmonary specialist gave me a script for
atrovent
which I now take daily. I believe that has helped a bit. I feel that I’m in the early stages and drs can’t diagnose yet. I’m petrified as I have two beautiful young girls 2 & 5 and I need to be around!

Does the body get used to ventolin ?
I'm really worried about this because it's the only drug that helps me right now along with bricanyl/
atrovent
nebs and there were many times I had trouble breathing and if I had not taken anything I don't think I'd be alive today. So if they stop working I'm not sure what other option I'd have ?

Pred, blood sugars, and changing up meds?
QQ: I’m on
Atrovent
and have considered switching back to Spiriva for a while. I would like to. However, I’m on
Atrovent
because it’s more flexible dosage-wise, allowing me to increase my dosage when needed, reducing visits to A&E.

Undiagnosed daughter on alot of medication, anyone similar?
She lives on daily, slo-phyllin, montelukas, seretide, steroids in winter and azithromicin, and when needed
atrovent
and salbutamol. Without these medications my daughter would be living in the hospital, mainly in HDU.

Brittle Asthmatic - 25 Years old.
I'm currently prescribed an at home nebuliser, with Salbultamol and Ipratroprium Bromide (
Atrovent
) I only got the nebuliser yesterday and I have an appointment with my Asthma Nurse tomorrow, She will be prescribing me the medicine to nebulise.

New asthma team
I’m currently on: — Seretide 125/25 —
Atrovent
(the doc questioned that because it’s not a usual choice but I explained that I’ve been established on that/Spiriva for a while) — Montelukast 10mg — Salbutamol inhaler as needed — saline nebs when ill (again doc asked about that but it was recommended
