Tripped up...
I have also since been started on home Ventolin and
Atrovent
nebulisers and Bambec. Things started going forward and things were quieting down a bit, I was happier and spending less time being used as a human pincushion or guinea pig.

No real improvement after nebuliser
He is on cetrizene, white
atrovent
inhaler, ventolin and QVAR 50 preventer. On Saturday we had to visit out of hours, as his cough was bad (he had been sick twice from it, and hadn't slept much in the night). He was prescribed a 3 day course of steroids.

Cataracts
He says it is the steroids but i believe i have been told before that the
atrovent
can cause cataracts, as anyone else heard this! I know it can cause glaucoma!

Atrovent
Just got an inhaler of this to go with other two inhalers. Wondered if anyone else had had experience of it. It was the only drug that worked when I had a severe attack so hoping this might be my wonder drug. Taking 6 - 8 puffs a day. Anyone else tried it and if so how soon did it work for them

Discontinued inhaler, bank holidays and feeling poorly
Saw a consultant on Thursday who prescribed
Atrovent
, except the dry powder form I was prescribed (aerocaps for use with aerohaler) has just been discontinued, although the pharmacy originally told me it was out of stock.

Slightly scary experience - anyone else on montelukast found this happens?
Luckily the
Atrovent
seems to have more or less sorted it, or at least taken me out of 'oh c**p do I need to do something?' territory! But was thinking - miss ONE day of montelukast and that happens? Scary! Or just coincidence?

salbutamol weirdness.
I'm fine with salbutamol nebs, but they're usually mixed with
atrovent
if that's relevant.

Atrovet
Have had meds changed etc and find myself with
atrovent
nebs and inhaler as well as usual ventolin. How does this work? It seems to last longer than the ventolin. Can I take this in an attack? The info from said costa was not that clear, or maybe I am just to knackered to have remembered.

Relievers for reversibility test
I seem to respond better to
Atrovent
and best to both salbutamol and ipratropium combined. Is there any way of requesting an alternative to salbutamol?

Reliever used for reversibility testing
Is there any way of asking them to use something else, maybe
Atrovent
? I've been wondering if the reason my last reversibility test showed nothing was because they used salbutamol which I've never responded to very well.

The Nurses did brilliantly in a very difficult situation but they kept running out of basics like Salbutamol nebs and
Atrovent
nebs and not understanding the importance of having 4 hourly nebs. Aargh!

Asthma in your sleep
That's the worst it's been sleepwise (seemed to be stopped waking up that much by
Atrovent
before bed) but I quite often seem to feel tight-chested and SOB in dreams (could just be thinking about it I guess) and then find it hard to wake up, feeling like I've not had enough sleep.

Venting for a moment...(warning this is long)
Cut a long story short, had to go back to hospital late Thursday morning (by ambulance), got regular ventolin/
atrovent
nebs (lost count) , hydrocortisone (?mg), + heparin apparently the dr wanted me on that while I was in hospital to prevent clots.

Sorry if this has been answered before but I had a look and couldn't quite find what I was after in the other
Atrovent
posts. Just been prescribed this by GP, it tastes awful but seems (just on a couple of puffs) to be doing at least something!
