Dear Jennie -thanks for posting here. It sounds really scary that your friend has got to such a low weight. The most important thing you can do is to be her friend, and stick with it,-so many people end up really isolated, because it can be really hard for friends to be around them. It's really hard when someone has got to this low weight, as your friend is probably not thinking rationally. But what you can do is to try to be real & honest with her-tell her how worried you are about her; she may not want to hear it, but she needs to know you care, and it might be the reality-check she needs. You don't say whether she's getting professional help, but it sounds as though she does really need it, so encouraging her to go to the doctors, attend appointments she's offered etc.

The other thing i'd want to say to you Jennie, is do look after yourself, don't take on too much-you can't solve this for your friend, but you can be there as a support.

best wishes
