He's neutered, just chubby! He's been put on a diet now and is not happy about it

Don't vets have reduced calorie foods so Gimli can eat as much as he's used to and still lose some chub? We can't have such a beauty unhappy! Or maybe exercise it off with cat toys like I see on Cat From Hell?
