Hello Arc2, there is unlikely to be a link between RAS (reflex anoxic seizures) and trigemini. RAS is a term used when unexpected stimulus, such as pain, shock or fright, can cause the heart and breathing to stop for seconds. It is frightening to witness but it is not life threatening. RAS is a term that is used mainly by paediatricians when diagnosing this condition in a child, although it can occur at any age.

Trigemini is a type of abnormal heart rhythm (an arrhythmia) that resembles a three-beat pattern. An individual will have two normal beats and one irregular beat. It is usually identified through an ECG.

For information on RAS please visit stars.org.uk and arrhythmias What is an Arrhythmia? - Arrhythmia Alliance (heartrhythmalliance.org)
